It is scary. People tell me, you know, some of the it's a hard book. Oh, there's some humor in it because I'm Kurt Schlichter. There's some funny stuff in it. But it is it is a tough book.

I talk to guys like you. I talk to a lot of other folks who have knowledge in this area. I try to make as realistic as possible without giving away anything that those guys haven't already thought of.

It's a good story. And people have been responding very, very well. I have sold boatloads of this book. And gosh, I hope people read it and vote accordingly.

So The Attack scared the living bejesus out of me.

It came out in January. Is that right? Yes.

It has been selling like hotcakes and scaring the hell out of people ever since, which is exactly what it was intended.

Well, the book is a novel. I could have done it as nonfiction, but I don't think that would have punched people in the gut the way they need to essentially imagine a 10-7 attack here in the United States.

I think every society the backbone is the family unit and I think right now family in America is under attack.

I think we've got enough to deal with with our enemies outside we don't need to be attacking each other and that's what's happening.

You know if my belief is this, I'm not a political guy like when I was talking up and answering your question in the beginning. I'm talking about the individual and what he's facing as a human being and when in this book I don't talk about political things. It's a fabulous book and if you are today to Jeffrey Tubin I actually a really talented writer may not be able to avoid masturbating in front of female employees while working at The New Yorker I believe it was but he is a really talented writer and it's a great book and if you want to go into the specific details of that case I know they turned it into a television show which you watched.

Tubin is quite confident that OJ is guilty and lays it out like the I don't know the television show made that clear as well for people who were watching.

there's a scene in the people versus O.J. Simpson that I thought was the most powerful scene of the whole thing is and tell me if this is in the book when Marsha Clark sits down with Ron Goldman's dad and it is you like well up with tears because he's like everyone's talking about O.J. and his ex-wife and the and the celebrity affair he's like my son is an innocent guy to do anything in this lunatic try to chop his head off.

I would encourage all of you to read that book, "The People v. O.J. Simpson" by Jeffrey Toobin.

I tell everyone this, this, you know, Out of the Shadows is a book about a lot of different emotions.

And I discussed that through the book about how, how it's disappointing and hurtful.

You know, there's different versions of, you know, that I've received and there's different versions throughout the book as well.

You know, there's a, the first few chapters are about me meeting him, getting to know him, build a relationship with him, and it's filled with some wild, crazy stories, some fun stories, some sad stories, you know, that I endured with him and then this just complete deflected abandonment avoidance.

One of the books that has most influenced my thinking over many, many years is called it's called Generations. And it's by these authors, Neil Howe and Bill Strauss.

And they they did a follow up which is actually slightly better, which is slightly better known, called the fourth, the fourth turning, the Generations came out in 1991. The fourth turning came out in 1997.

There's a book called Generations by Jean Twenge, the author who talks a lot about this and that's a huge problem going forward.

Hey guys, so I was there this morning. This is the first hearing in more than 10 months in a special counsel Jack Smith January 6th related indictment of Donald Trump.

Of course, the proceedings have been on hold as Judge Tanya Chutkan's immunity opinion, which denied the president, uh, immunity from presidential from excuse me, criminal prosecution, moved through the appellate court and then of course, the Supreme Court, which came back on July 1st with its landmark opinion in Trump versus the U.S.

Jack Smith had to cut nine pages. He dropped a co-conspirator, Jeffrey Clark, who was with the DOJ at the time.

Jack Smith filing a superseding indictment last week and basically restarting the proceedings and that was the uh, the basis of this hearing today.

These judges and prosecutors don't care. They don't care if higher courts come in and I saw that today with Judge Chutkan. They don't care if they're humiliated at the appellate level or the Supreme Court.

So there was finally testimony today by Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who has been conducting, we are told, an investigation into the DOJ FBI's role in the events of January 6th.

He announced opening this inquiry on January 15th of 2021.

But what was interesting, Clayton Buck, he told the Weaponization Committee today that he had to put a quote unquote pause on his internal investigation so it didn't conflict with what he called a criminal investigation.

So what the J6 Committee probably told him is to stand down for 18 months, do no investigation or inquiry or research whatsoever, while the J6 Committee was doing their work.

He also indicated that the report will address, and Chris Gray has said this as well, his report will address the use of FBI informants on January 6th, including those who unlawfully entered the building.

If you have the time, Stephen Ambrose's book, Band of Brothers, what she is talking about her grandfather, this is one of the most remarkable things when the Band of Brothers, I believe 101st Airborne, I'm not an expert on this particular part of history, but I have read the book.

I would encourage you to read the book, but if you watch the movie or the television series, you see what all those men were jumping into in the Band of Brothers television show, which I think did a really good job of kind of giving you an idea of what that visual would have been like for so many of those guys.

I would encourage you to go read the books, but the Band of Brothers television series on HBO, when those guys are jumping out the paratroopers behind the German line to try to provide cover for all of the troops that are going to arrive on June 6th, 1944 for D-Day.

You definitely feel a heavier weight with this, meaning in the fiction in the thrillers, the James Reece series, if I get something wrong because I do weave a lot of history into those thrillers, but if I get something wrong I can just say hey, it's fiction...

There are people still alive who responded to this bombing; we're digging their buddies out of that rubble with their bare hands, K-bar knives, shovel, maybe, crowbar if they could find one...

And the only thing that surprises me about that is why it has taken so long. His predecessor was killed back in 1992 and he took over back then and is the secretary general of Hezbollah. And I just surprised that Israel has let him live this long, especially with the capabilities that they've had for decades now.

That's right, yeah, 220 Marines, 18 sailors, three soldiers killed that day. There were others killed between an embassy bombing which happened in April of 1983. Both people killed throughout that summer, fall until October 23rd.

China's watching Russia Iran North Korea they're all paying attention to what is going on inside our military and it just projects some serious weakness all of our adversaries are not focused on ensuring that their troops are focused on proper pronouns and men being allowed to wear finger polish or if the word mohawk is offensive they are focused on which our military by the way is focused on now our adversaries are focused on how they can fight and destroy their enemy which happens to be us
