Episode: Winning the Moment, Not the Argument with Jefferso...

The book was highlighted as a NewYorkTimes bestseller that teaches trial lawyers and anyone else to argue less and talk more, using practical essentials and applications. The host repeatedly praised its impact and encouraged listeners to buy copies for themselves and others.

"

This book, The Next Conversation Matters. Right. Or The Next Conversation, Argue Less, Talk More? It's so impactful that I want to go right into it because, number one, it is now New York Times bestseller. So kudos to that. That speaks volumes of what the book is.

But this book, especially for a trial lawyer, stopped me at just the title. Because by nature, you should argue less. Right. You being an attorney. So talk to us about just the title, why you chose the title. And again, it grabbed me because I knew who you were. I was like, argue less, talk more. I've got to go into it.

I know as a reader, the first three chapters are the essentials you need to have The Next Conversation, then the application. I loved that setup because it made it very easy for me to read knowing how things were going.

That chapter really fired me up. My wife, even with her organization, ordered this book for her leaders, and they're going through it too.

I'm going to send you a copy of the book, Jefferson. I'm ordering copies for the first 20 people who message me, and I'm asking everyone else to buy a copy online and get another copy for a colleague or family member.

Episode: Winning the Moment, Not the Argument with Jefferso...

The host highlighted that Jefferson's book was a New York Times bestseller and praised its focus on arguing less and talking more, especially for trial lawyers. He also emphasized the practical chapters on controlling oneself, the moment, and the pace.

"

This book, The Next Conversation matters, right? Or The Next Conversation, argue less, talk more. It's so impactful that I want to go right into it because number one, it is now New York Times bestseller.

But this book, especially for a trial lawyer, right? For a trial attorney, stop me at just the title. Because by nature, you should argue more, right? You being an attorney, right? Right. So talk to us about just the title, why you chose the title.

When I read that chapter, I immediately thought of Robert Irvine, one of the greatest leaders that I know that talks about impact. But he always says, Mick, everything starts with controlling yourself first. So I'd love to get Jefferson Fisher's version of what it means to control yourself.

I'm going to send you a copy of the book. The first 20 people that message me about The Next Conversation, I'll send them a copy. Then I'm asking everyone else to order a copy online and also get a copy for someone on their team or family.

Andrew, talk to us about the cookbook, the why behind the book and what people can get out of it.

Great recipes coauthored by my colleague Barton Seaver in collaboration with Fed by Blue and pictures by Eric Wolfinger. We created a book that has these incredible recipes, but we also have 100 plus pages of how to understand the blue world.

"

I teased it in the beginning. I reached out to Andrew, said my wife's anniversary was coming up and he sent me this book, The Blue Food Cookbook. My wife loves seafood and when she opened the book she said there were only four recipes and I was already on the fifth - something that rarely happens for her.

The book has 145 great recipes coauthored by my colleague Barton Seaver, with fantastic photography by Eric Wolfinger and art illustrations by Yulia Shevchenko, plus over a hundred pages explaining how to understand the blue world and choose sustainable fish.

You can find The Blue Food Cookbook on Amazon, at your local bookstore, or preorder it on Andrew's website before October28th.

We talk about blue food as the solution to many problems - eating more oceanderived foods, using seaweed, mussels, oysters and other filter feeders, and the book gives practical recipes and guidance on sustainable aquaculture.

"

We just released the Transformational Leadership book. Now the Transformational Leadership book is that next level of leadership that really dives into how do you move away from being a transactional leader to a leader that creates transformation in your team.

Because so many leaders function at the bottom of Maslow's hierarchy, at the bottom, which is just, do you feel safe? And do you have resources, right? ... we really want to be a transformational leader where we take our team all the way to the top of the pyramid to selfactualization.

And most leaders aren't exercising that. And so that book, Transformational Leadership is out.

Episode: Pastor Keion Henderson: When Your Flaws Become You...

Keion Henderson's new book "Lazy Love" examines how past hurts, attachment styles and personal experiences make people show up slowly or lazily in love, using a sloth metaphor to help readers understand and improve their relationships.

"

I just wrote a new book called Lazy Love. And the premise of that book was... It's about love, sloth, attachment styles...

This book is telling us that we have to look at our attachment styles... to understand why we show up in love the way we do.

It's a book that helps us realize... it makes you look yourself in the mirror and deal with yourself in order to get through love.

Episode: Pastor Keion Henderson: When Your Flaws Become You...

The new book was introduced as a work exploring love through the metaphor of a sloth, discussing how past hurts affect our approach to love and encouraging readers to examine their attachment styles.

"

I just wrote a new book called Lazy Love. The premise is that the Bible talks about not being like the sloth, and I explored how slow movement and our diet affect love.

I was reading about the sloth and realized they move slow because of what they eat, which puts them in a state of mind that anesthetizes them. That became the substratum of the book, showing how we can be lazy in love because of past hurts.

The book helps us realize we have choices in how we show up in love, that it makes you look yourself in the mirror, and that it gives more grace to the people you love.

We've been hearing rave reviews about it all over the country--New York, California, Florida--and it's moving people to think differently about love.

And then lastly, I reintroduced The Shift. We have another second edition of that book, adding three chapters, because even my shifts have shifted.
