I've mentioned it a couple of times. I got an advanced copy of it, Spencer Klavan's How to Save the West. He's read everything, he's done all the research that we haven't done on history and Socrates and Plato and all of them, and he's condensed it into life lessons that we can apply to today's problems when it comes out, which is I think February.

The New York Times, which went deep with a ton of Democrats, top Democratic leaders, politicians, and others, all of whom are expressing disappointment with her.

She is not their big hope.

Kamala Harris is trying to define her vice presidency. Even her allies are tired of waiting.

the painful reality for Miss Harris is that in private conversations over the last few months, dozens of Democrats in the White House and Capitol Hill and just around the nation, including some who helped put her on the ticket, said she has not risen to the challenge of proving herself as the future leader of the party, much less the country.

Even some Democrats whom her own advisers referred reporters to for supportive quotes, confided privately that they had lost hope in her.

I was reading Diary of a Staged Mother's Daughter.

it's so clear you wrote it like your humor is, it jumps off at me from every page and it's indicative of who you are because you can laugh about anything that's happened in your life.

That's Melissa's memoir. It's so good.

the picture perfect life that she had on the Prairie was not reflected in her real life back at home.

The blacks in this country fared far better economically under under President Trump prior to the pandemic than they ever did under under President Obama.

And that's one of the reasons I wanted to write that this book. It's a story that I think was was underreported because the media largely had it in for President Trump from day one.

They were quite surprised that he won the election and then spent all of his presidency resisting him instead of covering him.

And and if they had done their job and reported what was happening in terms of economic inequality under President Trump, they would have had a great story to tell about shrinking income inequality, something they obsess over.

And and what this really was is a function of the working class writ large getting a boom under Trump. And it just so happens that blacks are disproportionate, disproportionately represented among the working class.

Instead, we saw record low unemployment rates, record low poverty rates. And we saw the wages of black workers rising at a faster rate than the wages of white workers.

The blacks in this country fared far better economically under under President Trump prior to the pandemic than they ever did under under President Obama.

And that's what we didn't do. Yes, of course, we needed the experts to give us information. But the experts didn't know anything about unemployment or the restaurant industry or education or suicide rates.

It's a waste of time to try to refute Mr. Trump's arguments like in a normal debate.

It's nearly impossible to identify what his arguments even are.

He starts with nonsense and then digresses into blather.

Something that's been lost in the whole coverage of this case and trying to get to the bottom of a perplexing mystery is the lives that were lost.

These children will never have the opportunity to have changed these lives.

I'm gonna have the last laugh.

I believe until the moment he's arrested, he still believes that he's gonna get away with things and he's gonna be back teaching in the next semester at Washington State University.

And I remember she said to me, don't set your goals so high. You know, don't set your goals so high because if you don't reach them, you're going to be disappointed.

I paused for a second and I said, that is the stupidest shit I ever heard in my life.

I think Aaron is expressing an emotion and feelings and saying things that a lot of people feel, you know, a lot of people in the black community absolutely positively feel like that, but it's not even, you know, just Republicans.

I just feel like, you know, government in general, I think that there's been a lot of systemic things that have been done, you know, to, to, to black people in this country, to put, you know, black people in certain positions in this country.

And there hasn't been enough systemic things done, you know, to get us out.

I think one of the main critiques of the democratic party is the, you know, they are supposed to be the party that represents us and supports us.

And, you know, people don't feel like they have fought hard enough for black people. That's why every, you know, presidential election cycle, we're back having these same, you know, conversations about, you know, Democrats going out there and earning the black vote.

If Democrats had done, you know, historically what they say they are going to do for black people, you know, they wouldn't be in this position every four years where they're out here trying to push me to endorse.

I think people have no problem with you bending the rules or breaking the rules if there's a tangible benefit to it.

Now, you know, like Aaron said in Death of a Nation in my book, you know, you know, he, he, he, she's convinced these poor, you know, white voters that he is for them, but their conditions aren't getting any better either, you know?

It's got a lot of incendiary thoughts on how evil Republicans are because they really just exist to keep the black man down.

Now, you know, like Aaron said in Death of a Nation in my book, you know, he's convinced these poor, you know, white voters that he is for them, but their conditions aren't getting any better either, you know?

Quidditch, the fictional made up game from these Harry Potter books that she wrote.

They're going to like rename the game Quidditch because, you know, J.K. Rowling said something insensitive to transgender people or something like that.

You can't cancel J.K. Rowling. My God, J.K. Rowling wrote all the Harry Potter books by herself. She sold so many books, the Bible worries about her.

And they canceled it because she said in an interview, and this is not exactly what she said, but affectionately, she said gender was a fact. And then the trans community got mad as shit. They started calling her a TERF.

...just saying there are biological differences. That's it. Not saying I don't want trans people to exist, not saying I don't want them to be treated right or respectfully or find love or feel accomplished or anything else. All she said is there are biological differences.

It's done. It has done 8 million. I've sold 20 million total of all the titles.

Oh my God. That's insane. I mean, that book is so popular.

I know you published it, oh, I don't know, going on 20 years ago now. And it's still always on the bestseller list.

Did I write a primer for neurotic middle-class helicopter parents?

If you were somebody who was quote redshirted your child because he was born or she was born in the second half of the year, it may be because of this book.

one of the arguments that I make is how much your birthday matters in terms of sports achievement and academic achievement.

This was a cry for institutional change.

We shouldn't be leaving this responsibility of giving your kid a fair chance to the parent. That's nuts.
