There is a book called Kiss the Girls Goodnight, written by Mark Gatto.

Now he's a former NYPD officer. He had 29 years working in the police force.

So there's a lot of interesting perspective in this book.

It's probably the best deep dive that you're going to get on this case.

So if you're doing extra research or you want to do your own research, that is the best place to start in my opinion.

But there is an incredibly researched book on this case called Blind Passion, A True Story of Seduction, Obsession and Murder by John Glatt.

It's written mainly based on interviews with those involved, with those that were close to Julie.

The book does a phenomenal job at making you feel connected to the case, connected to the victims and their lives.

It's incredibly emotional and raw.

It's written in a way where it's super thorough, super organized, but it doesn't feel like you're just going through court documents.

But there is an incredible book on this case that was written a long time ago. It's called Poisoned Blood by Philip E. Ginsburg.

The book was based on court documents, letters, personal papers, media coverage and dozens upon dozens of interviews with witnesses.

I feel like there's not a fact on Audrey Marie that exists out there that is not in this book.

It does a fantastic job at diving into the deep psychological aspects of the killer. You just get such a close look at the inner workings of the killer's mind.

I highly recommend it.

But there is a really good book on this case called I'll Get Ya by Kelly Peters and Riley J. Ford.

Listen, this book was insane. It was incredibly touching. I mean, there were so many moments where it was so heartfelt, so raw.

The amount of emotions that were eloquently put into this book. I love that you can hear Kelly's voice throughout the entire book.

It felt deeply personal. It's very open to interpretation and it honestly just gets you thinking.

So I highly recommend that you check out this book. Not only would you be reading a fantastic book, but you would be directly supporting Kelly and her family.

There is a really good book on this case called Love Me to Death by Steve Jackson.

The whole book, this whole case, I mean, it's wild.

The book is really able to dive deep into the mindsets of what's going on with all the parties involved.

It's incredibly thorough, well-researched, put together in such a way that you never for one second feel like you can even put the book down and never for a second do you even forget the pain that these victims must have felt.

It's the best deep dive that you'll get on this case.

But there is a crazy in-depth book on this case called Grave Murder, the story behind a brutal Velkham killing.

Now this was written by Jeanna van Der Mey and it is such a thoroughly researched, meticulously done book. I mean, I highly recommend it.

But there are two fantastic books on this case. So there's The Pottery Cottage by Alan R. Herndall. So good.

And then we have The Pottery Cottage Murders by Carol Ann Lee and Peter Howsey. I mean, this case is so mind-boggling. It's so infuriating.

But there is a really, really detailed, intimate book on this case called Resurrection, The Kidnapping of Abby Drover by John Griffiths.

The amount of detail, the emotional aspects that are encapsulated in this book, I mean, it was incredible.

He worked with Abby Drover on this book to share her story.

And it's truly a story that sounds stranger than fiction, if I'm being honest.

I think this book is really special in that sense because we get the answers to these questions.

but there is a book on this case called Deadly Little Secrets by Catherine Casey.

One of the OGs of true crime, a fantastic author. I love all of her books.

This isn't even as well known of a case but I just have to say it's crazy the details, the lives of these people and the fact that like so many of the cases that we've covered we would never look at these exact people at a grocery store, at church or at school and think, oh yeah, that's a killer right there.

The book just makes you think about how much you really know the person that you're spending so much time with or maybe even the person that you look up to. It's terrifying.

So he wrote quite the controversial memoir about his life. It's called Pimp.

It's called Pimp. And it's one of those transgressive novels.

People say, well, it's an autobiography, I guess. It's just so controversial. It's so hard to stomach. Listen, this book is not for everyone. It's very intense.

It just feels so, so, so heavy. Saying that the language is uncensored and not safe for work is the world's biggest understatement.

The dialogue makes you cringe in the worst way possible. It's uncomfortable. The way that Pimps treat women, I mean, the violence against women that's in this book. You just get thrown into this completely different world without any preparation, without any warning.

Please check out the book called Secret Lessons by Charles Bosworth Jr. and Don W. Weber.

Don W. Weber is actually the prosecutor on this case. Well, he was one of them. It gets really messy. So you're going to get a really in-depth look into this case with that book.

It is difficult, nearly impossible to say that it's an enjoyable read because of the subject matter. It just makes your blood boil.

This book is wow I mean I don't even know where to start. This was her life, these are her memories and I tell you her book is one of those that is just so emotionally charged. It felt so personal, vulnerable. I felt like Joanne was having a conversation with the reader instead of just telling us what happened to her.

It felt like she was with me in the room. It's one of those stories and one of those books that I think is gonna stay with you for a really long time.

It's incredibly emotional, vulnerable, heartbreaking, infuriating but there's still hope at the end and honestly it's quite an inspiring story.

So go make sure to grab a copy of Silent Sisters because I assure you a thousand percent this episode is nothing compared to the book.

I'm just so incredibly moved by this story but it does get a bit dark.

there is a fantastic book on this case called The Sadist and the Hitman by George Hunter and Lynn Rosenthal.

This book is honestly the best in-depth book that you'll get in this case.

The episode won't even come close. It's incredibly well written.

The authors were up to date on the case from the moment that the news broke of the murder.

George Hunter personally interviewed the news sources, the local law enforcement officers that worked on the case, and I really think that everything was represented very accurately and very impartially.

It's actually one of my favorIte authors of all tIme, Jack Olson. I talk about hIm all the tIme. May he rest In peace. But the book Is called I, the creatIon of a serIal kIller. Now thIs Is about the happy face serIal kIller.

One of the most notorIous, sIck and twIsted serIal kIllers to date. The book was based on countless IntervIews, dIarIes, court records, IntervIews wIth the kIller hImself.

The kIller was very eager to share all of hIs thought processes behInd the kIllIngs.

I thInk a large portIon of thIs book, I thInk he chose to wrIte It In fIrst person perspectIve.

But honestly, I don't lIke It In the sense that It feels weIrd. But In the sense that It does keep you hooked. The book takes you on thIs emotIonal roller coaster and there's just a lot of feelIngs that wIll surface.

But there is an incredible book on this case called Cold Kill by Jack Olsen.

I really don't know what else to say about this book other than the fact that Jack Olsen was truly an amazing author.

I mean, I thoroughly enjoyed the book if I can even say that.

Enjoyed the book in the sense that he really made you feel like you were there with all the people involved.

It's truly the best deep dive on this case.

But there is an amazing book on this, The Cleveland Butcher. And it's written by James Jessen Battle.

I just want to say that he did impeccable research on this case.

Which must have been an incredibly frustrating process because there were so many discrepancies and even missing police reports.

So this might be the most detailed comprehensive review of what actually happened with the Cleveland Butcher. And we have James Jessen Battle to thank for that.

But if you haven't already read Everything They Ever Wanted by the Queen herself, Anne Rule, you need to pick up a copy.

It's by far the best deep dive on this case that you will find and it's written in Anne Rule's signature style.

It's a good 80 pages to really get into it, but once you get into it, there is no putting it down at all.

When it comes to everybody's early lives, when it comes to all the personal details, Anne Rule goes into so much depth that you almost feel like you know these people personally and that Anne Rule knows them personally.

The whole series of events is a rollercoaster and Anne does a fantastic job at keeping suspense, but she still approaches such a hard subject with grace.

But there is a really good book on this case called A Clockwork Murder by Steve Jackson.

This book is amazing in the sense that otherwise I don't think that I would have ever found out about this case, known about this case.

And well, Steve, the author, he takes from a variety of sources, including court transcripts, notes, interviews.

The book is really straightforward. And I mean that in the best way possible.

He tells you about the case in such a way that it's relatable and it helps you relate with the victim from the get-go. He does an amazing job.
