It looks like a highly annotated, at least two books of the ACOTAR series. It's like a thick binder.

So the number one is Fatal, The Poisonous Life of a Female Serial Killer by Harold Schechter.

This is one of my favorite true crime authors of all time.

He's written so many amazing books on Ed Gein, Belle Guinness, H.H. Holmes.

But with these, he just, it makes you feel like you're watching a movie.

But there is an incredibly well-researched emotional book on this case called Under the Bridge by Rebecca Godfrey.

She personally interviewed the killers as well as hundreds of other witnesses, including family members, detectives who worked on this case, social workers.

She sat in on the trials, the retrials.

She studied police records, court transcripts. I mean, this is such a meticulously researched book.

I think the book was very easy to read in the sense that there were stories that were in the book that weren't pertinent to the crime.

Not only was the book a wealth of resources for this case but Azam, the author, diligently included cultural context that I think is such an important aspect of this case. And not to mention he conducted interviews and did his own boots on the ground research so please if you're interested, please give this book a read.

It just the whole thing sounds like it's straight out of a Karen Slaughter thriller novel, which by the way, one of Karen Slaughter's books has the exact premise of this local girl goes missing wife checks successful husband's computer and sees videos of girls that look just like the missing girls and they're creating snuff films. The husband runs a snuff film empire.

I did a BAM on it, which I'll link, but it's so eerie similar to a novel. What was it called? Pretty Girls. Right. That's what it reminds me of.

June's Journey is a hidden objects mystery game that makes me feel like I'm living inside of a mystery TV show that is very immersive.

You play as Detective June Parker and you just found out that your sister and husband were murdered.

So you fly from London to New York to investigate, but the clues are just not adding up.

I love traveling all over the world with June.

Because the game is set in the 1920s, it just has the most aesthetic game design ever and it's so cozy.

He's one of the survivors involved in this case who authored a memoir titled Slanam Woods Nine.

I came across this memoir during our research and I read it from front to back and then I combed through it all over again.

And we do reference a lot of the details but of course we couldn't include everything nor would it do the memoir justice so please please please pick up a copy of his book.

There is no closer deep dive than this memoir.

It's also a fantastic resource and deserves all of its praise.

It's one of those stories that you can't stop listening to and I can't wait to finish it and start the next audiobook in this series

It's called Carry Their Bones

And she remembered asking a courthouse archivist for records of the boys at the school, right?

And the archivist sharply corrected her and said, you mean the inmates?

yeah, well there's not a lot of records on the inmates because, and I quote, they was just throwaways.

The main character Millie is out on parole and she's desperate for her job

She doesn't have any money

She's living out of her car and she gets this opportunity to be this rich family's housemaid

Millie agrees even though there's just something really strange about the Winchester's

Especially the wife Nina

She just seems to love finding ways to make Millie's life very difficult

The family is hiding something and Millie is hiding something and there's just so much tension between Millie and the husband

It's one of those stories that you can't stop listening to and I can't wait to finish it and start the next audiobook in this series

There is a documentary out on this case that was quite insightful.

There is a town of articles and written deep dives but probably the most invaluable source for today's episode is a book on this case titled One of Us, the story of Anders Breivik, written by Asni Sarastad.

She is this incredibly talented investigative journalist that has won numerous awards for her focus on young women's stories typically and typically in war-torn countries.

She poured through the court documents, worked directly with the survivors' victims' families, and she was dedicated to unpacking every single layer of this really twisted, really sick story.

The book is incredibly well written and by well written I mean just like gut-wrenchingly painful to get through because of how emotional it gets and how raw it is.

Please check out the book. I think the book, the author works with a lot of the victims' families and it was just an incredibly tough read to get through but I think it is very insightful.

This is written by an author by the name of Jasper De what I think something like that it literally says like de and then space something.

it was actually written through a series of reddit posts I believe on the no sleep thread before it was taken down from reddit and then later published compiled all up into one and I think there was like revisions and there was editing done and then it was released as a horror fiction book.

it's a tiny little red book I thought I would get through it and like maybe max two hours something like that but I ended up spending a good amount of time on it because I wanted to really just suck in and Digest every little page that I could think of

She read a chapter of Harry Potter in Italian like she does every single night

He's probably just like reading Atomic Habits and The 48 Laws of Power.

No, he should read though.

She even shares this in the book. She says this is something that she's used to because she's always been like this. Ever since she was a kid, she heard voices. Well, there's mainly like one. She calls it The Voice, which is also the title of her book, The Voice.

Raphael, another person involved in this case, Amanda Knox's boyfriend at the time, wrote a book as well called Honorbound. My journey to hell and back with Amanda Knox.

There is a segment in Savannah Guthrie's book that has been heavily discussed online. Though I think it's not really relevant, some people have brought it up just because they believe the whole thing is odd and eerie.

In one of Savannah's books titled Mostly What God Does, she writes about how her and her cousins had this really cute tradition growing up, which they called the kidnapping game, where her cousin would visit the house, stay with them during summer break.
