Pimp The Story of My Life

So he wrote quite the controversial memoir about his life. It's called Pimp.

It's called Pimp. And it's one of those transgressive novels.

People say, well, it's an autobiography, I guess. It's just so controversial. It's so hard to stomach. Listen, this book is not for everyone. It's very intense.

It just feels so, so, so heavy. Saying that the language is uncensored and not safe for work is the world's biggest understatement.

The dialogue makes you cringe in the worst way possible. It's uncomfortable. The way that pimps treat women, I mean, the violence against women that's in this book. You just get thrown into this completely different world without any preparation, without any warning.

They were books with titles like Pimp by Iceberg Slim, Dope Fiend by Donald Goins, Black Gangster by Donald Goins.

I think he read Iceberg Slim's, Pimp, like a section from that, that's the game, that's the Hollywood game.

Iceberg Slim was an actual pimp, like a full on pimp who wrote his story and it's brilliant writing. He wrote it like his voice, which is why it's and uncompromising.

If you haven't before, you should read Iceberg Slim's first book. It's called Pimp. And then there's some subtitle, but it's about how he it's he was a pimp. Right. And it's about how he fucking convinced women to be part of his stable.
