One is titled 'The Happy Mind, Seven Principles to Clear Your Head and Lift Your Heart'.

The book is advertised as an alternative way of thinking based on seven principles that would lead to deep and lasting happiness,

many who knew Bill claimed that he was deeply unhappy.

There's a really good book on this case. It's called Such Good Boys by Tina Derman.

Now when I tell you that this is such a good read, I'm talking one of the best deep dives on this case out there.

This book if I can recommend you any book it's this book. It's called The Evil Within, The Crime That Shocked A Nation, The Heartbreaking Story of Becky Watts by Her Father.

And I have never read a book in which at so many points I was crying on the couch.

I at one point stood up and put the book down and just stood there in the middle of the living room crying, sobbing.

I was sobbing in bed. I was just sobbing the whole time that I was reading this and typically I try to stray away from books that are written by the victims family members or the victims themselves because I find that I already have a really hard time separating my emotions from crime cases.

But this one, I mean I just I had to I had to read it and I am so glad that I did. I mean in a weird way I'm really glad.

But there is a book. Yes, you guessed it. It's called Too Pretty to Live by Dennis Brooks.

Dennis Brooks was the lead prosecutor on this case.

And he wrote it.

I mean, the amount of detail is gnarly on this book. There are so many text messages, emails, Facebook conversations that you can't find on like ABC 2020.

I think the book also adds a great perspective with the fact that it was written by the prosecutor. You feel like you're going through the whole legal process as well. A ton of fascinating information.

It is such a refreshing book if I can say that. Not in the sense of the material or the subject matter is refreshing but in the fact that the book is so full of raw emotions.

I think that the author made it nearly impossible to not feel strong feelings for the people involved in this case.

The book was mainly based on interviews with friends and family members and significant contributions from Tatiana's mom.

which by the way, the first book that I ever read from James Renner was True Crime Addict, How I Lost Myself in the Mysterious Disappearance of Maura Murray,

Now, Bobby was named as a likely suspect in even the Mindhunters book. You know, the Netflix show. Well, that FBI agent, what's his name? Ressler something. OK. He wrote a book about serial killers.

But there's a ton of sources for this one I mean two different documentaries a book called house of Gucci by Sarah gay Ford and which honestly, this is a really good book

It's in-depth. It's thorough. It's a long one This is what the movie with Lady Gaga is based off of The House of Gucci movie that's in theaters right now

Yeah, there's actually quite a number of books out there on the Gucci brand the Gucci family history

if you go read the book house of Gucci, I mean there's a lot on this like Chapters on this the amount of lawsuits in this book was mind-boggling

It kind of reminds me of the book The Art of Power which by the way fun fact is banned in prisons.

Please read the book. It's in my source notes. And I mentioned it in the beginning of the podcast, especially because I mean, it's written by Allison. So it would be benefiting her as well.

He wanted a portion of all that money because he believes what he did to Allison is the only reason for her success story.

our definitions of good parenting and bad kid are so vastly different that one of us might be reading the freaking Hobbit because like, what do you mean?

What saved a cat? I'm about to tell you. It's like a storyline. A lot of movies and books follow this exact point, progress. It's like the progression of a story.

Which actually, saving the cat is supposed to happen in the beginning. It was like the whole theory where to show the audience that you should like the protagonist.

They read books like The Conscience of a Conservative.

Sherry's book... She also mentioned The Maze Runner book series that the child received as a birthday present, noting the kids were gifted a whole trilogy set.

It's called Say Nothing by Patrick Keefe.

God I love this man so much. I never say stuff like this but I love him.

He's one of those authors that I will literally love and read anything that he puts out.

So that's why it's called Say Nothing. Go give it a read. It's like the deepest deep dive you'll ever read on this case and the way that he writes is just out of this world.

But essentially Northern Ireland half the people were divided... even Say Nothing has a whole in-depth deep dive on this okay.

It's called The True American by Anad Girijadas.

It's probably one of the most emotional books that I've read in a really long time.

It just adds this layer of perspective that I couldn't find anywhere else.

It is incredibly emotional though so I warn you, you're gonna feel a lot of things. Get your tissues ready.

trust me you can feel that passion. You can feel the hard work. It's a lot so please go pick up a copy of this book and go watch the TED talks that I've listed in the show notes.

I wonder what the feeling would be like to revisit one of my favorite books of 2021, which you guys know is The Skies Belong to Us by Brendan Koerner.

This book was so amazing the first time around and I am not a big fan of rereading books.

I think it was more gripping the second time around.

I know a lot of you guys are traveling this summer because things are opening back up. I get so many DMs asking me, this is like a little book club that's starting. You guys are asking me what book should I read this summer? The Skies Belong to Us by Brendan Koerner because I'm on a little campaign.

Listen, if we read this book enough, maybe they'll turn it into a movie because that would be a banging movie.

Remember Robert Hessler do you guys remember Robert Hessler from Mindhunter the famous Netflix show but it's actually a book and he's actually an FBI agent who confronted the likes of Charles Manson John Wayne Gacy he is thought to have coined the term serial killer he was a member really yeah

He published a full-on memoir called purgatory or sometimes translated as trip to prison report of a guilty man and that was highly regarded it was even published by highly regarded literary magazines at the time He became an Austrian bestseller

They were like you are a murderer but you too are also a victim like that's what they said about it They don't avoid of life of childhood of misfortune of poverty

And he decides not to commit suicide in the beginning of the book because he says listen I just had this thought in my head I'm not gonna kill myself because I can be saved I can be fixed

Purgatory was even turned into a film and he was allowed to leave prison to go attend the premiere at the film festival

He had a mom who was a sex worker his his aunt was a sex worker she got murdered by a client He was abused by his alcoholic grandfather According to his memoir that he wrote and it's just so sad

So there's a book called Runaway Devil by Robert Remington and Sherry Zickfus and this is about the case of the Runaway Devil, the Richardson family case.

So good this book is so good but like I was like what?

Yeah so he had been stabbed 24 times and none of those were fatal stabs he had died of massive massive blood loss.

The one thing that the police constantly say is this felt like a man protecting his family and protecting his house the way that he fought off this attacker and tried to was insane.

So because she's 12 years old they do not release any of this information to the news they only release the fact that she is missing because they don't want to be like hey you suspected killer 12 year old like if you see her let us know because Canada is really crazy about their underage like laws so even her identity for most of this even in the book Runaway Devil they never use her name they just call her JR but I mean it's been leaked and it's used and her name's Jasmine Richardson and it's no longer her name she changed her name it's a long story we'll get into it.
