I rarely ever make perfect predictions on the media here. I'm going to make a 100 percent certain conviction. There will be no criminal prosecution of Donald Trump or of Joe Biden.

They cancel each other out unless obviously more information comes out that shows obstruction of justice or Richard Nixon type behavior.

Everything has to be equal and one will cancel out the other.

You cannot prosecute Trump if you didn't prosecute Hillary Clinton, if you only gave a slap on the wrist to Sandy Berger. And now, of course, with Biden, it's impossible.

Let's stop weaponizing the criminal justice system. Let's stop doing tit for tat politics as to right, wrong, to wrongs, make a third wrong.

Episode: Feds Raid Trump's Home, and American Opportunity,...

It was described as a book about Alan Dershowitz's career and the efforts to cancel him for not being partisan enough. It was brought up in the context of the raid on Trump's home and the politicization of the Justice Department.

I wish I'd spent more time with my family...I wish I had spent more time with my Jackie.

I don't believe that soundbite...I think she prioritized her career because it was what she truly loved more than anything.

It was recommended as a life-changing book for weight loss and a healthier lifestyle, with the emphasis being on reducing the consumption of the 'hateful eight' vegetable oils.

"

I have bought all of their books. I have the audio version. I have the hard copy version. I got rid of the hateful eight vegetable oils. I've been like decreasing the grains and the sugars, which I didn't think I could ever do. And now I have trained my body to eat its own previously toxic fat instead of me running to the pantry for the sugary stuff. I'm telling you, go back and download that pod. It's a game changer.

And then hers is, I think, the fat burner fix.

Episode: How To Lose Five Pounds By Memorial Day, with Dr....

It was described as a book that addresses weight loss struggles and the impact of seed oils on body fat, explaining why weight loss becomes harder with damaged body fat.

"

I understood that it wasn't making sense to them and it wasn't making sense to me either.

They would say, I hardly eat anything and I'm not losing weight. I work out all the time and it used to work, but now it doesn't anymore.

Something is wrong with my metabolism.

Yeah, there is something wrong with your metabolism.

It was not able to efficiently go, as Mark was saying, from burning the calories in the food that you just last ate to snap immediately into releasing your body fat from storage and burning that.

"

So back to the title of the book, It Doesn't Have to Be Awkward. Is it awkward to write about that and talk about that with him sitting right there and sort of say, I needed you and you weren't there?

Yeah, I am. Well, I've been working on a memoir for the past five years. So writing about my life is routine for me at this point. And ultimately, because we have open discourse, I've been very vocal about the fact that his workaholism did impact all three of our childhoods.

We were obviously provided with privileges that are incomparable for a lot of people in this country. And for that, I'm grateful. But ultimately, there was sort of this opening maw hole in which dad wasn't there.

He did show up for ice skating competitions. He did show up for football games. He was there for the big events. But the day to day was a little bit more mom's domain.

And she's doing what every daughter of an unavailable dad does. Thank God I wasn't abandoning. I didn't leave because that would have been then the preoccupation.

Episode: Dr. Drew and Paulina Pinsky on Radical Honesty, Ha...

The book, co-written by Dr. Drew and his daughter Paulina, provides guidance for teenagers and young adults on navigating relationships, consent, and other difficult conversations, particularly regarding sexuality and dating.

"

It's more about it was written this book was written for sort of well we say 14 to 20 year olds 14 and how helping them navigate relationships it really was originally about consent it's a primer on sex on relationships on crushes on bullying on teenage life

It's not about all this stuff so much although this does get out of the book that will be in the memoir

It Doesn't Have to Be Awkward is it awkward to write about that and talk about that with him sitting right there and sort of say yeah I needed you and you weren't there.

It's been great and listen this then this is forging those adult connections right and and again that's what our book ended up being about we really it's not about all this stuff so much although this does get out of the book that will be in the memoir

Ultimately the foundational idea of this book is that if you trust yourself have compassion for yourself and know your own boundaries then you can trust someone else offer them compassion and respect their boundaries

Episode: Allie Beth Stuckey on Protecting Women and Girls,...

It was described as a Christian book that argued against the toxic culture of self-love and promoted the idea of dependence on God for fulfillment rather than self-sufficiency.

"

So we are constantly bombarded, especially as women, as young women on social media with these messages that you're enough as you are, that you're perfect as you are, that it's a privilege for anyone to be in your life.

And all of the problems that you are facing, all the insecurities that you have, all this feeling of anxiety or depression is actually not because of you or anything that's wrong with you. It's actually because of all of these systems outside of you.

So it's because of the patriarchy, it's because of capitalism, it's because of society, whatever that means. It's because of marketing and advertising and unfair expectations for women.

It's because of your kids that are just draining you and have turned you into something that you're not. And so in order to finally be fulfilled and be happy and be free, you have to release yourself of all these societal expectations and standards and realize that you are enough, you're sufficient as you are.

And everyone else just has to recognize that. And once you love yourself as much as possible, once you are confident in every single flaw and quirk that you have, then finally you will be free to pursue your dreams, to start a business, to be successful, to have healthy relationships.

It was discussed as a book that debunks certain claims within psychology, specifically regarding fad psychology's ability to solve social issues, while also acknowledging some techniques' potential merit.

"

So the book is called The Quick Fix, Why FAD Psychology Can't Cure Our Social Ills.

It stems from before Katie Herzog dragged me down into culture war hell with her. I worked at New York magazine, I edited a vertical about behavioral science and I sort of carved out a niche as someone who would be skeptical of the press releases you would get from Harvard or the University of Pennsylvania touting some incredible new finding about human behavior.

So I decided to write a book that will basically be a book that will help people cut through the overhyped claims we often get from psychologists on issues like the implicit association test, which can supposedly reveal your hidden racism, but has very little evidence behind it.

I do talk about the decades long self-esteem craze, which claimed that all sorts of societal problems, including crime could be solved by improving people's self-esteem.

There's also a military program that costs about $500 million that supposedly reduces PTSD and suicidality among soldiers, but no evidence to support that. And just sort of a giant waste of money.

Robby Soave's book, "Tech Panic", was discussed, and Megyn Kelly initially felt it was wrong, but after reading it, she felt better about Facebook and the future of social media.

"

I think the title of your book is interesting, too, because as angry as we get with Facebook and social media, it will be nice. I was reading sort of just like a long summary of the book. And I was at first I was like, this is bullshit. This is wrong, too. No, they're terrible. And then when I got to me, I was like, I feel better. I feel better based on what Robbie is telling me.

I have covered a lot of the big tech issues and I share a lot of the concerns that people particularly on the right have about censorship and bias and that kind of thing so I am I am by no means making the claim that it's that doesn't exist or that's not happening it is a problem but I think a lot of people again especially on the right miss the tremendous benefit of social media.

Conservatives use Facebook for sure. It's there it's it's a really it's probably it is arguably the most important to modern communication tool for getting out views that dissent from liberal orthodoxy.

I'm very worried we would shoot ourselves in the foot by doing something to disrupt it. You know I do not want to go back to the era where I mean because the New York Times is never going to run an op-ed by a Republican ever again.
