I go to the prison library and I stumble upon a book called bonfire of the vanities by Tom Wolfe. I pick up this book and I'm like, Oh my God, I want to write like this. So I plowed through the book and then I started with the yellow highlight and I use this book like a textbook. And I taught myself to write by modeling Tom Wolfe.

And it was like a copy of Tom Wolf, you know, Bonfire's the fan of these.

And Tom Wolfe did that with his early work on what would become The Right Stuff and The Bonfire of the Vanities.

I got that from Tom Wolfe, the writer, you know, his book Bonfire of the Vanities, you know, his character Sherman McCoy, who was a bond trader.

it is a terrible movie do not watch the movie and think that you are getting you know the good stuff and you don't have to read the book it's tom wolf's bonfire of the vanities a lot in bonfire the vanities you'd think very applicable to the city politics of new york right now

it's about new york city i thought it was it's tom wolf's best novel in my opinion made it into a movie with tom hanks and melanie griffith it was horrible but the book is great

great novel great beach read i think it's one of the best explanations of city politics it was written back in the 80s so going back 40 years um one of the best explanations of how city politics really works that you'll ever read

But then I think of another book that I loved, Bonfire of the Vanities by Tom Wolf.

And then the movie came out. I can't remember that movie.

You were so fortunate you can't because it was really a terrible movie and it's too bad because it was Brian De Palma directed who's a very good director.

And for me, it kind of ruined the book because visuals are so powerful, the bad visuals of this bad movie superseded my own memory and reckoning of this story.

I'm reading my own book again because I think it's so fantastic.

I really like Tom Wolfe's last book, and I think I think he's a great author. He's he's done a beautiful job. He's which book? He's his current book. He's he's just his current book. It's just that Bonfire of the Vanities. Yes. And and the the man has done a very, very good job.
