And the book is called, I Don't Want to Talk About It.
And I picked up the book and I finished it in a single season, single reading season.
And I remember closing the book at my kitchen table and I put my head down on the table and wept in a way that I haven't probably ever or maybe just a few times.
And I've given that book out, good grief. And you all have heard me talk about this book. I've told people they need to go get that book and read it. Wives read it, husbands read it. Everybody needs to read it.
It is easily the number one most important nonfiction book I've ever read.

And the book us is a critique of what I call the toxic culture of individualism.
What I say in the book is that the model of dominance and control is lethal.
I think that we're in the middle of a society at war with itself.
We're going to figure that out or the consequences are going to be dire.

If you're an adult and you wanna read fiction that's good but it's also at nighttime and you don't wanna read like science at night cause I think that's ridiculous. Get your head all, or you don't read the news at nighttime cause your brain's gonna be like, oh, we're all gonna die. If you want some great fiction about getting outside.
My two favorites thus far are Black Rock Brothers and Cowboy Hood. Wow, they're so good. My kids love them but I love them and there's a great range. And he also, man, he's got some good stuff in there for the parents too. Just their fabulous books, man.

Before we can heal our relationship with people so it's our relationship with stuff. Our relationship with our values, our relationship with ourselves.
healing all seven of those relationships starting with the stuff to make room for what's truly important.
