and then I'm moving on to pagan religions each chapter is so exciting and different and weird and human nature was like that you know rationality narcissism how can you not be excited about writing a chapter about narcissism there's so much material I had so much material from myself as well you know it's fun but if I had to write one book on narcissism for five years I would kill myself I would never make it so the diversity of it and the breadth of it is the feature yeah because it allows you to get excited about the component parts but I can tell you when you're like in chapter five and you've got seven more to go and you know oh man I don't know if I can make it you just gotta have these mental strategies kind of get you past those points which I'm pretty good at

and then I'm immersed in that and then it's over after about five months and now I'm writing a book about evolution and the dinosaurs I'm going into the world of dinosaurs and animals and biology well how exciting and then that's over by the end I'm kind of drained and then I'm moving on to pagan religions each chapter is so exciting and different and weird

This is my copy of Tom Rex great Austin author I think he spends about half a time half the year here this is his new book it's a military history in the civil rights movement called to wage a good war this is a copy that I read about halfway through but you can see here when I read books this is one of the reasons I don't check out books from the library is that I insist on folding the pages and writing in the margins which of course you're not allowed to do but but the point is when I read I'm not just casually consuming in part because this is why I'm not a huge fan of audio books although I don't fault anyone for reading them I want to engage very deeply with the text and so I not only read very deeply but then after I read I go through it and I hype up all the passages that I like I would have feel them coming through my fingers some of them I read by hand I do these own physical no cards and this work out they goes into a foreman and building my actual recall and understanding more than just getting in just the book that got through it several times but these no parts also become the building blocks from books that I belong to right
