I feel like Richard Pryor live in concert and Bill Cosby himself run the entire gamut. It's like two perfect games.

I got into...started watching Ken Burns' The War.

If you haven't seen it if you like me and you're late to the party dude like that's my recommendation for the week it's a seven pot on World War two.

It's a seven-part series on World War II, each one's about an hour and fifty minutes long.

It really ties the whole war together where for me I've always seen like they'll always do stuff on it on the history channel that they'll be talking about the war in the Pacific or they'll talk about the blitzkrieg or they'll talk about D-Day and occasionally they'll talk about northern Africa but this thing kinda goes in chronological order of the whole damn thing.

And a book would end and I used to read a lot of that was that guy who did all the train spotting and Marabou stork nightmare books. I used to read all his shit Irvin Welsh or something.

So I was listening to this album Miles Davis Miles Smiles and there's a song on there called footprints and it's one of those things that when I was younger

Charlie Watts has a great new book out that it's just drummers that influenced him and if you're a drummer and you're into that shit because he's I guess a jazz drummer at heart.

He talked about all these fucking great drummers that I've heard most of the names and didn't know enough about him and the fact that he could break down their styles and what they did as made me I was already listening to a lot of that shit through some of my drum lessons.

But really just trying to listen to the shit that he's saying. It's a great book.

You know, we've been trying to get Charlie Watts on this podcast for a long time.

I know he doesn't do a lot of interviews and but I know he'd want to come on my podcast I'm joking.

I bought Jojo Mayer's new what's that new came out last year his his follow-up to secrets of the modern drummer or whatever the fuck it's called and This is the one he did one a couple years ago

It was about all these different, you know molar techniques and all that type of shit Molar method and all that different grips and all that shit cuz he can play at blinding speeds and never get tired, right?

So this guy Jojo Mayer has the fastest bass drum foot I have ever heard in my life

And I know that's saying a lot for a single bass drum player this guy can do three four in a row like I never heard anything like it blew people away and It's basically the same kind of

So now he has a DVD where he breaks it down and Basically now that that knowledge is out there and then he showed everybody how to do it I can't imagine

You know once they said 100% satisfaction guarantee. I immediately started thinking of fast times at Ridgemont High

I just got back from the midnight showing of The Watchman.

I really don't know how to review it. I'm told it sticks pretty close to the graphic novel It had cool special effects great story and good acting but I kind of felt yeah after it After leaving the dark night.

So there's a lot of man ass in it
