Fifth graders read I Am Jazz and It Feels Good to Be Yourself, which says, quote, Some people are boys. Some people are girls. Some people are both neither or somewhere in between.

One parent raised a red flag about when Aiden became a brother, a book being taught to fourth grade students that the parents described as full-on gender theory, which is teaching students that the sex you're assigned at birth is wrong.
