"

And if you believe in the multi-dimensional stuff and thank you for the setup map because it is true that Souter by the way also claims in his book Underground Bases and Tunnels that the base Pine Gap or rainfall operates in alternate dimensions.

So exist on multiple planes of reality at once.

I think what he means there is that it operates on like to pull there's a intersection you can reach through and you can, you know, pick up your screwdriver from this other dimension, bring it back over to this dimension or step through.

So you know what I mean? Yeah. So again, that's underground bases and tunnels book that you can find somewhere at some time in some dimension, this dimension, maybe.

Episode: CLASSIC: Stanley Kubrick: The Man and the Myths

It was described as a fantastic book, despite its controversial premise, and its unique style of unreliable narration was mentioned.

"

Lolita in 1962, which I do have to say, despite the premise, is a fantastic book by Nabokov.

It has one of my favorite depictions of a death scene, at least the novel.

And the first page, and there's a little bit of a spoiler, the narrator is super unreliable and a terrible person is talking about how his mother passed away. And all you learn is there's this parenthetical where it's just like picnic, comma, lightning. And then it moves on. It's one of my favorite death scenes.

He also has one of the best and most redundant names in literature, Humbert Humbert, which I enjoy quite a lot.

And this aside, like Lolita is a very controversial story. Yeah. And it's got some hugely problematic things, but Kubrick never, never hesitated, I guess, to address controversial themes like Dr. Strangelove or how I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb, which made 1964.

In Spawn, the protagonist is not a very good person. They're special forces soldier kind of guy. They die. They go to hell. They make a deal with an infernal creature because they want to go back and win the love of their life and be a better person.

I think the guy's name was Al Simmons. So he gets the deal from the devil and then he comes back to the world but he comes back as like a servant of evil. And he still tries to get back with his wife.

The real reporting comes from actual verification of the facts and because of the nature of the internet and how what people have come to expect that just doesn't happen and it all blasts at you leaving you to sift through the wreckage of it and figure out what's true and then the real reporting comes much later.
