And surprisingly enough, there are not a lot of docu-series, a lot of documentaries about Dean Corll.

So I do want to mention that a lot of my source came from an article that I'm going to link in all of the source notes, but a book by the name of A Man With a Candy, The Houston Mass Murders by Jack Olson.

That's what the book told me. I've never been to Vidor, Texas.

I watched Stephanie Harlow's 3 hour 2 part series on the soap maker of Correggio and that thing blew my freaking mind.

The amount of extensive research that she goes into, the way that she tells the story. If you guys don't know, Stephanie Harlow is an amazing true crime YouTuber and she always has such good information that she goes in depth with in her videos.

If you guys really want to get sucked into it, you need to go watch that series. It's called The Soap Maker of Correggio.

Dexter is a very very famous TV show...

Dexter was actually based off of a book loosely...

She wrote a book under a fake name. And this was part of a series. And one of the books was called Troubled Blood, and it was partly based off of Brutus. So it was a man who would dress up as a woman to lure in his victims, a serial killer.

The whole book, some people say I've never read it, so I can't say for sure. But I'm just saying there was a controversy that happened. A lot of people say it has a very anti trans vibe to it.

But it seems like with her history of transphobic comments and then overall the tone of the book, the people who have read it, some people who have read it said that it feels very like she's just using it to make people like scared.

It's almost kind of like a fear mongering, they said. Yeah. Of a man in a dress which shouldn't be fearful at all. Yeah.

So Jerry Brutus is still causing a stir to this day is what I was trying to say.

One of their favorite works to read together and one of his most infamous works is a book called 121 Days of Sodom.

So think about that. You've got this giant, beautiful castle.

Think Hogwarts in the mountains, surrounded by forest.

And so they're like, we need to do something more fun.

So they decided to lock themselves into the castle for four months with four female brothel keepers.

There's gonna be a lot of times if you guys see, I don't know if I recommend people read this book the story itself is so good There's just a couple of things that I have a little bit of a pickle about

Okay, so this book I got it because of this there's an isolated mansion and inside of the mansion There's this garden and there's someone called the gardener. That's the serial killer's name

He likes to kidnap little girls off the street of new york city bring them into his garden And he turns them all into butterflies so that he could keep them forever.

Somehow the author makes you not want to punch the serial killer in the face like repeatedly the whole time Then you're gonna love this book because honestly the plot holy cow, let's get started

This book it has amazing reviews. It has over four stars like 45 000 reviews on goodreads Which is a lot of reviews for a book So I imagined it to be more serial killery

They called it snowmageddon in the book.

It's like a thriller movie.

Taylor Adams, the author of this book, he was, he did some directorial work before at a film festival.

It was good.

If this doesn't get signed, I mean, I don't even.

They have really great books.

I'm currently listening to The Housemaid by Freedom McFadden.

The main character Milly is out on parole and she's desperate for her job.

She doesn't have any money, she's living out of her car and she gets this opportunity to be this rich family's housemaid.

Milly agrees, even though there's just something really strange about the Winchester's.

Especially the wife Nina, she just seems to love finding ways to make Milly's life very difficult.

There is a beautifully heartbreaking, I mean, gut-wrenching book on this case called Silence No More, and it's written by Sarah Ransom.

She is a victim of Epstein and Maxwell, and just her sheer tenacity to keep fighting for justice is beyond admirable.

I would highly recommend checking the book out.

A lot of this was told in Sarah Ransom's book where she was lured to the island by a friend of hers.

She was recruited essentially to the island. She gets there. Her passports taken. She has no way off and she's being assaulted. It's bad.

In M. William Phelps' book about this case, it said that during the first trial, Katie would look over, stare at the men in the jury and part her legs a little under the table because she was always like wearing kind of a short skirt and never any pantyhose.

He's a great author.

He talked to the whole Yoder family. He bonded with them. He did find some insider information.

He claims that NBC's Dateline was a very biased take on Katie being innocent, and he said that the producers were seen around town just being very cozy with Katie's family.

They said that he's writing a tabloid. They claim that he has no regard for the truth and is seeking money. They said that the book is an obvious collaboration with Bill Yoder, and he doesn't even mention that Bill and Adam received immunity, which he didn't.

He was the main prosecutor. He's also written a book on this, The Mulberry Tree and the Pig Feces.

Now, the woman involved in today's story has filed an injunction to prevent the publication of this book, as well as she has sued the prosecutor for defamation.

Which the courts ruled partially in favor of this woman. The book itself is currently out of print, but we were able to not only get our hands on it, but have it translated into English for research purposes.

This book is one of the most insightful books I think I have ever read.

It is so incredibly raw in its honest depiction of how one deals with such an intimate betrayal.

Her vulnerability has provided us with so much insight into what happened, not just in this case, but what's likely happening to women everywhere.
