I'm probably going to go to Maine and go write about what's going on up there we're just taking a trip to Maine I'm in I think I have to it's been I've been dismayed over what's going on up there and talking to a lot of friends who know people who lost people so that's probably next for me but it's been great being here with you
and I'm surge.com I misspoke in the beginning of the show we already beat England so I was trying to say we were celebrating the win from England hate crime we're celebrating the win over England and we're going to face the Albacks in New Zealand you didn't even know how much we'll fit in New Zealand but yeah anyways cheers guys
and the dude who was the basis for that character was actually considered to be like very brutal but in the UK they celebrate him as like a hero so that's part of Battle Kettle Creek I believe right and that's a lot of the book I did the last ghost of the Confederacy one was in the town where the battle Kettle Creek was and the British did pay a lot of Indians to attack the people there and there's some of the gnarliest most violent scenes I'm reading like the reports of these murders where they're killing the kids in front of the parents and stuff the Brits did the Brits were hiring the Indians to do it yeah it was it's so brutal they say it's one of the bloodiest revolutionary battles Wow but that scene where the dude finds his kid and his wife man that movie is too good if you have not seen the Patriot of the Mal Gibson you are missing out it's a long one too but it's like I'm not even saying it's like it's not a documentary it's a fictional movie he's a composite of a lot of characters for sure it's exaggerated but it's good storytelling like I don't think Superman's real but there are good stories that good messages that can be conveyed through fiction yep and it's fun movie

I don't know if you've read the book, Mind Comb, for if you study what his methodology was what he was doing, Hitler's biggest playbook was I gotta strip you away from hope. I gotta strip you away from, if you read Bonhoeffer's book, I gotta strip you away from believing in God. I gotta strip you away those things. If you no longer dream, if you no longer have hope, if you don't believe in a God, I control you.

EM Foresters, The Machine Stops is really about this. Everybody lives in a pod underground because the world has become uninhabitable.
And there's a machine that pairs everybody up for mating and for discussions. There's a big view screen and the machine gives you everything that you need and you never have to leave your pod.
And this one woman ends up having to leave her pod to go see her son. And she's like, why do I even have to come see you? I see you on the telescreen. You know, I made it with your father once when the machine told me to or whatever. But it's very simple. Like we keep predicting these things and we keep doing exactly the thing that is going to destroy us for the prediction.
