All right. With all this End of the Republic stuff happening, we haven't gotten the chance yet to talk about Kamala Harris's new book, 107 Days. It's out Tuesday. More excerpts are making the rounds, including one where the New York Times has both a book review and a piece that sort of gives some of the highlights, some of the excerpt highlights.

Minutes before she was to step on stage at a presidential debate in September of 2024, she received a call from Mr. Biden... And then this is what Harris writes, quote, I just couldn't understand why he would call me right now and make it all about himself, distracting me with worry about hostile power brokers in the biggest city of the most important swing state right before she was about to go on stage for a debate with Donald Trump.

Her fraught relationship with Biden forms the undercurrent of the book. Quote, my feelings for him are grounded in warmth and loyalty, but they had become complicated over time with hurt and disappointment.

Just over a year ago, I launched my campaign for president of the United States. 107 days. She's got a book... In essence, writing a journal that is this book, 107 days.

It was reported that she worked with PulitzerPrize novelist Geraldine Brooks on it.

We all read the book. We all talked about the book. It was like our little book club.

On 107 days. And it was doable. Not like that Jill Lepore book.

And I don't mean to bring this up just from the Democrats, but there is a trust issue that we have right now between the rhetoric of our politics and the reality of our politics. And Kamala Harris's book, I think, has done a real I know everybody's shitting on it. I haven't read it yet. It's a it does a real service.

Do you have a sense that you know? Kamala Harris' book is called 107 Days. Yep. And the premise of the book is, it's just not enough time.

Kamala Harris wrote a book, 107 days. I only had 107 days. I couldn't put together a coherent governance plan.

When I was reading your book, 107 Days, one of the really surprising things was, but also makes sense when I understand human nature, was that you talk about how some of the president's staff were basically suppressing you a little bit, suppressing your accomplishments because you're a threat to them.

You say in the book that you at the time thought of it as grace.

During the 107 days, every night, I would stay awake thinking, what more could I have done with that one day?

Read the book. 107 Days, Kamala Harris. It's an incredible book because it's so unbelievably honest and it's so unbelievably human and it lets you see behind a curtain one does not usually get to see behind, which is extremely rare, but extremely illuminating and valuable.

if you're a Democrat and you're looking at your candidates, you should never just go get Kamala Harris's book, 107 Days, and realize that this is somebody you should never vote for for president because the whole thing is excuses.

And then you read Kamala Harris. And she can't ever take a loss. So, it's like, oh, I felt like my driver didn't like Josh Shapiro. This is literally in the book.
