yeah it's the 30,000 foot view it's zooming out a little bit and relating to the idea of the system it's not as if these are separate components in just the same way nobody would say your heart is one thing and your liver is something else and your lungs are something else you go into your heart specialist and say look this is what you need take this medicine it's great it's going to wreck and our lives are very much like that we had a woman who became a coaching client of ours who came to us because she said she's done everything right she did really well at college she got into the business school of her choice she focused she graduated top in business administration she came out with a really great MBA and that alerted her to the fact that there's something real going wrong what's going wrong is that while some of her colleagues were attending birthday parties or celebrations connecting with other people building up their own personalities in the final analysis when you interview somebody for a job you're not just looking at grades and GPAs from college you're looking at the result of everything that you have done with your life because everything you do contributes to making you who you are so here's a girl who was terrific very accomplished but only unidimensionally she was excellent academically she could do a bond yield analysis in her head she was really good but her relational IQ was just not there she couldn't talk about anything else she didn't have any hobbies she didn't have any interest she'd really deliberately neglected all the other aspects of her life

Jade wash all ramsey personality is my co-host today she's the author of the ramsey quick read money's not a math problem which is kind of what we were just talking about that's right so yeah it's more about your way of thinking sometimes yeah so dave i don't want to pay i don't want to um take my savings and pay off my credit cards because it doesn't feel mathematically correct like you were doing math when you ran up an 18 credit card right so it's interesting when we choose to do math and we choose not to i think that's a copout one when people say that they're what it really is is i don't feel like doing that i don't want to do that yeah and i think i figured out how i'm smarter than this system that's right yeah that's what that is so it's kind of like you know i heard a personal trainer because and he was helping me at the house you know at our home gym and sharon's making fun at me she's like he goes down and counts to 10 you don't know how to count to 10 you got to have somebody count to 10 for you you can't tell you can't count to 10 by yourself and she's giving me a hard time i'm like no he's here because he has a six pack and i have a keg and so what he says to do about that matters more than what i think i need to do that's true and she said that's true that she agreed with so there you go the keg part especially well then there's the layer of it where you actually have to do what he says oh god now you're getting meddling just saying just meddling

I'm going to recommend you get a book it's called it's called Steel Like an Artist and it comes with and you get the second book called Show Your Work both of these are written by a guy by the name of Austin Cleon they're short little books takes you about 15 minutes and I think it would be really good for you as a 16 year old to begin to go what are wedding videos or whatever videos that I see that I like and begin to study your competition who's doing it well what do you like about what they're doing how would you do it differently and you begin to develop your own eye
