His controversial book Colonialism, A Moral Reckoning, was recently published and hit the nonfiction bestseller list in the UK.

So Nigel we're going to talk today about your book Colonialism, A Moral Reckoning, which is just being released just a few weeks ago, which as I understand is doing quite well.

a lot of the insights that he laid out in his more explicit books were first captured in books like the red book or The Black Books which were basically yeah they were basically what would you say transcriptions of these quasi hypnotic

there's a fantastic book called Racial Hygiene and of course the classic the Nazi doctors that makes just this point that before there were for the Nazis were even in power there was this very effective public health campaign

Her new book, Med April release, When Race Trump's Merit is now available.

Now Heather has just written a book called When Race Trumps Merit, and I thought it could have been titled somewhat more broadly when group identity trumps merit because it's not a problem that's only focused on race although that's definitely a punchier title.

So this book provides the data that explains why there is disparate impact when you apply those colorblind neutral standards of merit.

And your concern which is partly what you're laying out in this book is that that axiomatic apri presumption of prejudice based on the mere observation of differential group representation is not only faulty but faulty enough to threaten the entire enterprise of merit itself.

I can recommend a book by my friend Charles Siph called Hawking Hawking and it was sort of the business of Stephen Hawking and I he could answer one question I would take him about 10 minutes to answer a question someone asked him in the audience professor Hawking your rumor to be the most brilliant man alive and yet you've written this book that almost no one besides you know a younger Jordan Peterson perhaps had red cover to cover why did you write this book and he answered in his computerized synthetic voice because my daughter needed to pay for college and it was just interesting that this great man this great intellect you know trapped in this body that had you know been robbed of all of its physical kind of maneuvering and so forth was was so fast-ciled with his mind it was really an incredible thing to see

but Carl Jung wrote a great book called Answer to Job that takes that apart in great detail but what happens in the Christian story is a strange inversion of the story of Job because the hypothesis in the Christian story is essentially that the best way through the absolute catastrophe of life is to voluntarily take on the deepest possible set of catastrophes as if they're an encouraging challenge it's something like that that's you can think about that metaphysically as the invitation to the cross and so the notion is analogous to the notion that you're describing which is the best way to inoculate yourself against catastrophe is to confront it voluntarily

She wrote, You're Teaching My Child What Back in 2009. It was pretty damn early, all things considered.

In 2009 I had no idea that things would explode like this.

In 2009 I thought that when I described what kids were being taught in sex education using our tax dollars that they were being taught all this rubbish about gender and born in the wrong body and it's a matter of, it's oppressive to be taught that we are all either male or female and that we have to break out of that oppressive way of thinking.

and he wrote a uh chapter called surgical sex explaining how we would be wise if we pay attention to their psyches and help them emotionally and psychologically and not try to change their bodies

and a book was written by john colapinto called As Nature Made Him the boy that was raised as a girl and it just told this entire story from a to z it's a shocking shocking story um and everyone should read that book

There was a Harvard professor named Roger Porter who wrote a book about this about 30 years ago called War and the Rise of the State and I think we're seeing it on display.
