The Perilous Fight: Overcoming Our Culture's War on the American Family Cover

Ben Carson M.D.

The Perilous Fight

Overcoming Our Culture's War on the American Family

Dr. Carson wrote "The Perilous Fight" because he was concerned about the direction the country was heading in. He thought about who America's enemies are and how they wanted to overcome the country and impose a Marxist ideology. He believed the best way to conquer America was from within by dividing the population into warring factions. Dr. Carson argued that the foundation of American strength is the family, and it's under attack, and outlined how this decline impacts the country.

"

Recognizing that our country was moving in a very dark direction, I was quite concerned. I thought about who our enemies are and what they want to do.

They'd like to overcome our country and impose their Marxist ideology. However, we're much too strong to be overcome militarily. We can, however, be overcome from within. Making us divide and conquer is their theory, and it works extremely well.

What is the foundation of our strength, of our values, and our principles? It is the family, the very thing that's been under attack so much.

Interestingly enough, you go back to the congressional record, January 10, 1963, and look at the 45 goals of communism in this country. You see everything that's happening today, including the student rioting, the taking over of the public school system, taking over of the media, of Hollywood, infiltrating all of our important media. So you can influence the thinking of the people in America. And it's working.

And unless people actually recognize what's happening to them, they'll continue to be manipulated into believing that we're all each other's enemies. We're not each other's enemies.

The War on Children: Providing Refuge for Your Children in a Hostile World Cover

John F. MacArthur

The War on Children

Providing Refuge for Your Children in a Hostile World

The book is about the cultural shift away from protecting children, comparing modern societal practices to the ancient pagan ritual of sacrificing children. Pastor MacArthur feels that the culture has become very secular and almost Satanic, prioritizing adult needs over the needs of children, leading to destructive consequences. He believes that the solution to this crisis is for Christians to return to the biblical way of life, raising children in the 'nurture and admonition of the Lord'.

"

Well, it's just been percolating in my heart for a number of years. The culture, typically through history, protects kids.

It's not enough that they're sinners to start with. It's not enough that they inherit the sins of their fathers for three and four generations so that they have to live in the world at the corruption level that the predecessors have created.

But then the culture, in our case, has literally turned on the children. It's almost like in ancient times offering babies to Molech or burning them to Baal. The assault on children is just astounding at this particular point in our culture.

And I saw that in a very defined way, and maybe not even the most deadly way, in what was done to kids during the COVID lockdowns.

And it shows up in a lot of ways. So that's what led me to do the book.

Pastor MacArthur wrote this book to explore the question of what happens to babies that die, specifically those that are sacrificed, believing that God rescues these children. The book explores the biblical concepts of child sacrifice in ancient cultures and how God intervenes to redeem these children. And I wrote a book on that, a book particularly on that subject, What Happens to Babies That Die? Because that I think is a rescue operation by God himself.

I think even with abortion, as horrendous as it is, and it's the contemporary form of child sacrifice to the god of self and the god of sin and the god of independence that dominates mental thinking these days among individuals who just want to live for their own enjoyment, their own pleasure.

It's still the sacrifice of children for a god, only the god is the self, the one who makes the sacrifice. But in the end, God overturns that.

And the title of the book I wrote is Safe in the Arms of God. And I think the Bible makes a case that God rescues those children who die.

"

That is a huge, huge reality since throughout human history, there has been such a mass slaughter of children.

In this case, Satan meant it for evil, but God overturns it for good.

And in that book, Safe in the Arms of God, I show how the Bible teaches that God does gather those little ones to himself.

Just for one illustration, Jesus was with his disciples. People were bringing little children to him, putting them in his arms. And he said, of such is the kingdom of heaven.

These little ones belong to the kingdom of heaven. What our Lord was saying was until a child reaches the age of accountability, at which point that child decides against faith in God or for faith in God, God holds them in their innocence as a part of his kingdom.

It's not only sharing my own experiences of having been in the Democrat Party for 20 years and really why I left each chapter dedicated to one of the major reasons why but now is a time for action.

They're trying to erase God from every facet of our public life. They are undermining our civil liberties and weaponizing our Department of Justice against their political opponents.

They are terrified of a free people and a free society and we're seeing this play out right now in more brazen ways than I've ever experienced or seen in my lifetime.

And this is why the timing of this book is so important because there are a lot of people out there who maybe are still Democrats or have left the Democrat Party people who are unaffiliated with either party Gallup poll recently showed 43% of Americans are Affiliated or people who are just frustrated with politics in general.

It is I mean, you've given a foremost and very important example of how the party that I joined the party of JFK the party of Martin Luther King is no longer recognizable today.

I've got a copy right here, Woke Warriors. My wife and I wrote this. We're both Air Force veterans. We were judge advocates in the Air Force. And we continue to represent military members and their families on a whole wide variety of individual needs in the military.

So we thought that this would be a great opportunity for us to give our perspective, both on the legal front as well as our working with service members every day like we do, to show just how extreme and woke the United States military has become.
