That's like the box car children. It's a wonderful popular children's book series where it's almost the exact same thing, orphans, taking care of themselves and living out of a train car.

I will say I was a boxcar children kid. I read those too. Yeah, I like those too. I love the boxcar.

they were they were like orphan kids who lived in an abandoned boxcar from like a train car type thing.

You know, I was really hearing stories about my grandfather, but he had passed before I was even born.

And so, you know, he was a, these were real things, you know, that I heard from my mother and my uncles that, you know, he was a businessman. You know, he was like, you know, the de facto mayor of the black side of town, this little small town.

And then, you know, but at night he was a bootlegger and a gambler and a hustler and he always being creative.

So that's the boxcar trains. And then he does the dice with the two sixes as a boxcars too. So that's why he Flippin' Boxcars.

And I mean, the idea and what it took and the way it turned out in my opinion, I like love this book. I love the process. I love telling people, you know, about it.

Have you read Halberstam's book called The Children? Yes. Incredible. But the character that jumped out to me most in that book was not all the monstrous white people. It was Floyd Mann. And who's the sheriff in this book that tries to do a good job?
