Capitalism and Freedom 40th Edition

I read a lot of books like, you know, Milton Friedman, capitalism and freedom.

Milton Friedman once described why government spending will never ever work, and why it's always destructive Because there is no incentive to buy something that is either cost efficient or that's of quality Because it's not their money, and they're not even spending it on themselves

Is who spends whose money Consider the following situation first you spend your own money when you spend money you can spend either your own or somebody else's

If you spend your money on somebody else you buy a gift for someone You're still careful about how much you spend, but you don't pay quite so much attention to how you spend it and That is a little worse than spending your own money on yourself

But now if you spend somebody else's money on yourself, that's different Then you don't care how much you spend, but you're very careful that you get as much as you can for what you spend

But then take the fourth of those when you spend somebody else's money on somebody else Then you neither give much attention to how much you spend nor how you spend it How careful you spend it and that fourth situation is government

You have, you know, Milton Friedman, legendary economist, God rest his soul, wrote, you know, Capitalism and Freedom. Just an amazing guy.

And then I stumbled on a book called Capitalism and Freedom by Milton Friedman.

I didn't agree with 100% of what he wrote. I still don't, however, the fundamental logic of the free market system to me as an inescapable.

And then in 62, he wrote a book about capitalism and freedom.

At about that time, in 1962, Milton Friedman published Capitalism and Freedom.
