This novel had just been finished by Salman Rushdie prior to the attack, and notes for future ideas based on it seemed foolish afterward.
And I did write a pilot set in Detroit for Amazon called The Climb. And I just loved shooting there. [...] And then I wrote a pilot for Showtime that was set in LA.
