Charles Duhigg wrote about this as a keystone habit. He said, making your bed every morning is correlated with better productivity, a greater sense of wellbeing and stronger skills at sticking with a budget. That was in his book, The Power of Habit.

I think Charles Duhigg was just a guest on our sibling show, People I Mostly Admire. Yes?

But I think the most famous version came from Admiral William McRaven. Bill McRaven.

He went viral, you'll remember for his speech.

I know. I read it. I listened to it.

One of the things I just love about his books is their short, their simple and their earnest right?

It's all these kind of slogans from the seals, from people performance. Just kind of classic hard one wisdom that when you hear the idea that no easy day is yesterday those who dare win you know fortune favors the pulled when you hear these expressions you think yeah yeah yeah but somebody some body generations of people proved that idea they proved it on the battlefield they proved it in the classroom they proved it in their personal life they proved it suffering and he really explores what those things mean but in a really memorable way that I think sticks with you.

I really do love these books I recommend them all the time they are absolutely awesome

It's a it's a little thing and it gets you started to go I can do this I'm or you identify as someone who reads right like the amount of people I meet who are like I hadn't read a book since high school And then they read a book like this or one of my books and they're like oh I thought I hated books. I really just hated the books. I was assigned in school And then they then you can you can change your identity to be someone who reads
