Letters to a Young Poet

it says it's it's from letters to a young poet and it says be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves like locked rooms and like books that are written in a very foreign tongue

There's a book you must get and it's called Letters to a Young Poet and it's by Rilke and it is a guide book for those of us that are negotiating living with being the kid that the kid could go buy them, but he couldn't send them because he didn't own any of his own books.

So you must not be frightened if a sadness rises up before you larger than any you have ever seen. If a restiveness like light and cloud shadows passes over your hands and over all you do, you must think that something is happening with you, that life has not forgotten you, that it holds you in its hand. It will not let you fall.

I read this book. It was actually in COVID time and it's called Letters to a Young Poet. And there's this poet that's asking him like, he has so many questions and I think he's like, probably in his twenties.

And he's like, the one advice I can give you is to live your questions.

Be patient towards all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language.

Don't search for the answers which could not be given to you now because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now, perhaps then someday far in the future, you will gradually without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.

If you are faithful to living a question, that question will be faithful back to you.
