There's a book out there by Nassim Talib called The Black Swan.

The gist of the book, it's a very complicated book but it's not complicated to read. It addresses a lot of things. It's a wonderful book. It was a best seller for eons.

They collected opportunity. They collected opportunities.

If you're gonna collect opportunities, don't chase trains.

The train leaves at eight o'clock and you say you're gonna be somewhere, then be there at 7.55.

It's called Unmasking the Presidency by Susan Hennessey and Benjamin Whitties.

Trickle. Where does this phrase trickle down come from? Oh, I don't know. It was as far back as the first as the Roosevelt administration. Uh, there is absolute. It is an incredible thing. It's there is a non-existent theory that is constantly being attacked.

some years ago in my newspaper column, I challenged anybody to cite any economist outside of an insane asylum who had ever made that argument. Nobody ever ever came up with a single person.

So when Barack Obama says in this past July, quote, we were told that prosperity would told him. Nobody told him. Nobody told. An economist has ever held that. No politician has ever said it. I don't know of anybody who's ever said it.

In fact, when I put this out and I went out nationally in the Cated column, various people wrote me and I said, well, so-and-so said it, so-and-so said it. But find me the person who said it. I don't want to hear how you A said that B said, find me B and show me where he said it.

There's no such theory. It's made up.

And it relates to this prior segment with this David Shore guy telling liberals, stop being emotional, start thinking tactically, defund the police is probably not a good thing. He has this piece Jonah. It was in the LA Times and elsewhere smoking guns and tobacco. It's from December of 2015.

The point of the piece is a simple one. What is smoking have to do with guns and tobacco? What is he talking about? He makes this great point about how the war on smoking in the United States was a successful effort.

Why did the left's war on the second amendment fail? Because they made no effort to understand gun owners like they understood smokers. They just insulted them every time there's a shooting or a crime. You just want people dead if you're a gunner. I do. When did I say that?

They made no effort to understand gun owners like they made an effort to understand smokers. That's important here. And this piece is relevant to what David Disgaishor is saying to Bill Marr that, hey, if you don't make an effort, you radical liberal nutbags, me kind of throwing that in there a little bit. If you don't make an effort to understand why working class folks are leaving your movement in droves, you're not going to have a party left.

I can't recommend to you enough the Solzhenitsyn books, the Gulag Archipelago and the First Circle.

They're long reads, but they're worth your time folks. I haven't finished both books But I've gotten through most of it and it is some of the most disturbing your material ever read About how the soviet union did this exact thing.

The book the black swan one of the best pieces of advice you'll ever read is collect opportunities, but don't change trains

Collect every opportunity you can to meet someone to talk to someone to see an idea To go take an extra class to read an extra book.

Collect every opportunity don't waste a second you can't buy it back no matter how much you earn No matter how much you're worth No fancy car. There is no trade-ins. There's no trade backs nothing That second's lost. It's gone forever But do not chase trains.

Read the book In the First Circle by Solchnitsyn.

It's about how in the Soviet Union once they instilled this sense of totalitarianism and fear how the people who thought they were on the right side like the liberals think they're on the right side now they're like, oh no, no, we're just gonna cancel conservatives. They'll never come for us. We're their friends. So did some of the academics in the Soviet Union.

In my book the railroading of Mike Flynn it was really one of the most grotesque abuses of the air quotes justice system because there was no justice done here I've ever seen in my life
