But when you have somebody that can be like, I don't think this is your best work or then you can believe what happens when they say it is your best work.

I think that is probably the best way to describe it because, and I wrote a whole book called Fail Until You Don't, which is just get in because as long as you get in, it's better to make the wrong decision than make no decision at all because at least you've learned something.

And then I did a kid's book called Stanley the dog. She did read Stanley the dog.

But no, she has not read them and then I don't ever really think she will.

But the one book series that I read every single book devoured and loved all the movies was The Hunger Games.

I do feel like they were really great visually like connected with the book.

And that was the only time I've ever said that the book was better than the movie. Because there's just so much more in that world when you read those books than what happened in the movie, especially because in the first one, they didn't have the budget, I feel, to make that movie the best they could have.

Later, they got a little bit more money and they were able to look a little bit better. But I just felt there was so much more in that first book that I was like, oh man, it did really live up to my expectations.

So I finally went to the theater and saw the ballad of songbirds and snakes, which is the Humber Games sequel. And I read the book in 2020, but I guess you know 2020, 2021. It's all blur.

And then I read Matthew McConaughey's Greenlights

Yeah, I read his book. It's actually pretty good. That motivated me!

He goes to some village and they offer him to spend the night or whatever, but his ticket to spend the night with the villagers is to fight their strongest guy ever. And it's this big villager who fights McConaughey.

Green lights.

This is a green light Matthew McConaughey book that Eddie Redd and signed. My mother read a Matthew McConaughey book and signed it. My mother-in-law gave it to me for Christmas and then I passed it around. I think lunchbox, Reddit and signed it. Eddie did the diet. Oh, and Mike D signed it too. Mike D also read it and signed it.

I give him my phone number and go in the road for a couple of days and I get back to my house and I checked my answer machine and he's on my answer machine. The first message he left me in my whole life, I haven't talked to him in 15 years, he asked me for $50,000.

It was shit. It was shocking. I was like, are you kidding me? And painful. And expect me to give it to him.

And that was the first thing he asked me. And I don't think we've ever really had a conversation after that.

I think he had so many kids around town that I was just another headache. And I never complained and my mom never complained. So if you're not complaining, well, I don't really care.

And I've also started to read a little bit of fiction, which I never did. You read for fun. And Chang'e All-Stars was awesome.

I read a, the Chain Gang All Stars. I haven't read the prison system where they, it's like a ultimate fighting, but they make them fight each other. But it also teaches you about the prison system as you're reading. It's a real book. Yeah. It's awesome. Yeah. It's scary. It's fiction, but you learn. Yeah.

Chang gang all-stars, which is about in the future If you if you're in prison and for a long time You can actually sign in and it's basically MMA And so you have to go and you sign to fight but you fight to the death And if you win some of my matches and you're freed

It was an audible book I guess an audiobook a Willie Nelson's new book called Energy Follows Thought the stories behind my songs I've never done an audiobook before and the fact that it's Willie Nelson. I'm a huge little else. Did you do it?

Well, he kind of does the intro and then Ethan Hawke kind of takes over which is kind of weird Oh, but at least it's somebody famous He has a cool voice, but I did expect Willie for the whole thing

But then after like, you know an hour of listening you're like, it's okay Yeah, that's fine. And plus Willie's old I think he would have taken forever to read the book

And let me tell you what's really cool is so he like reads the lyrics of a song and he has millions of songs So a lot of these songs I've never heard before he goes to the lyrics and then he tells a little backstory

I got him the Willie Nelson book on audible for Christmas and I sent it to his email.

How's it to let them happen just like this book is happening. I never thought about separating my words from my music. They go together like ham and eggs.

The words always come first. I figure that once I get the words right, melodies will appear and they always have. Get the story down first and it'll sing on its own.

For the first time ever willy nelson provides the stories behind lyrics of 160 of his favorite songs looking back to all the songs that defined his career from his earliest work back into the 50s to the 50s.

I was totally into it the entire time. I want to know more. I feel I hope there's a Priscilla part two.

I felt sorry for Elvis too. Yeah, he clearly was not well, he's way too young, way too famous, good looking, didn't have any friends, was couldn't go anywhere.

He wanted to lock her in at a young age and have her in love with him to where she would wait and not do any of that and he could guarantee.

I thought it was pretty good. It was an interesting story about Priscilla based on her, on the book written about her life, her point of view.

She was 14 and she was in Germany. Yep. And she was in Germany.

She was 14 and 15 years old hanging out with a 24, 25 year old dude. And it's a different time. I get it the late fifties, but I don't get it cause I'm not in the late fifties. So that to me and my wife was like, man, that just feels creepy.

I watched Priscilla, which was the movie about Elvis's wife.

It gets an 83 positive on rotten tomatoes. I thought it was pretty good.

It's an interesting story about Priscilla based on her on the book. It's written about her life her point of view and she was part of one of the producers.

She was 14 and she was in Germany. Elvis was in Germany. He had been drafted already was very successful.

She's still alive.

I give it three and a half sideburns Elvis out of five.

Your deal. Yeah, mine's in the therapy space too and it's Body Keeps the Score. I listen to it on audio. I also have the actual book, but it's very scientific. So that's why it's helpful for me to listen to it sometimes and even read along, but just very helpful in understanding any stress or trauma in our brains from just understanding what people have gone through and then your own stress and trauma. And for my adopted kids, it was helpful for me to understand what's going on with their brain and that what it can do to our bodies, the traumatic stress. And if we don't deal with it, that it'll start, we'll have different ailments.

I've listened to it and have the book. Yeah, I mean, and I go back to it at different times because it was recommended to me by one of my kids' therapists and then in just a lot that I was experiencing at the time because he does different studies with veterans and alcoholics and other people that experience trauma. But then once they got the right therapies and they were able to rewire their brain, like they could see again or walk again, like crazy things of how your body keeps the score.
