In his memoir, Will Smith said he had sex with so many women, an act he found constitutionally disagreeable that he would gag and sometimes even vomit upon having an orgasm.

He was uncomfortable with the amount of casual sex he was having ultimately.

Don't you think that shows me what kind of power he had that he could just like vomit upon orgasm and people didn't talk about that?

Like if you get with Will, he might throw up on your face.

And it was a profound act of narcissism and arrogance that will forever tarnish her legacy.

I like that she's being honest in this book for good and for ill.

so normally when a memoir comes out, all the reviews are like, this is self-serving garbage. It's a false narrative designed to clean up their image.

And then this, all these excerpts from Katie Couric's book come out and they're like, she kind of seems terrible in this.

Simon, you're an expert. Do you see the problem with the structure of it?

I first became aware of your existence because you wrote a series of short stories or one long story divided into four parts for The New Yorker called Sellout.

I don't want to ask you to respond to this. I think it's actually pretty hard to respond to specific writing compliments.

So I just want you to know that one of my favorite moments in anything, funny moments I've ever read is this moment when the main character buys a potato at the Whole Foods.

And it's that moment and the specific moment when he is screaming at Whole Foods for their prices and everyone in the store applauds. And that to me is one of my favorite moments in writing.

I wrote a book about Goddesses.

But I'll tell you what really bummed me out was this HBO drama based on the book Band of Mothers.

So you think it's going to be super sexy?

Oh, yeah. I mean from what I understand, it's like - it's going to be like basically hardcore porno. That's what I've been told.

I really recommend to everybody listening that they read the book. There's your book, there's Adam Jendelson's book, Killswitch, about the Senate. There's Heather McGhee's book, The Sum of Us.

It's coming from a book by, I believe it's one of the, there are like 100 political scientists named Dan or Dave Hopkins. And so it's by Dan or Dave Hopkins, a book called These Increasingly United States.

First of all, I don't know who put that on the Internet. This is totally not true. That book was due at least I don't remember anymore, 15 years ago.

So I don't know who puts up stuff about me on the Internet, but it is not me.

It is not my publisher, who I assure you is not waiting their time sitting there waiting for the manuscript to come in.

I will say that when I saw that your next book was called Progress, I did laugh. I do think that that is a very funny name for a book that has been stuck for as long as it has been stuck.

So in the book, one of the lessons you write about from 2016 is that while protests are important, they are not enough to shift politics.
