So let's listen now to reading from the Revelation, the last book of the Bible.

In this Bible Story, Jeremiah witnesses the downfall of Judah.

This story is inspired by 2 Chronicles 36:15-21 & 2 Kings 25:3-21 & Jeremiah 32, 33, 38, 39, 40:1-6, 52.

Today's Bible verse is Jeremiah 38:20 from the King James Version.

It would be foreigners and enemies that show him kindness inspired by the book of Jeremiah.

Listen to God's promise found in Jeremiah 33 verses 6 through 8.

And he took away the sawdomites out of the land and removed all the idols that his father said made, first King's 1512.

First king's 1511 says this, And Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord as David his father had done.

This is Jack Graham with today's episode of The Bible in a Year. In our last time together, we heard how Rehoboam's pride and foolishness cost him most of his kingdom.

Now we see that even the noble Jeroboam is vulnerable to the traps of sin and idol worship, and how God shows no partiality when it comes to taking away kingdoms inspired by the book of First Kings.

As predicted by Nathan, conflict and sin breaks out among David's children and the neglect of David creates brokenness among his family as inspired by the book of 2 Samuel.

This story is inspired by 2 Samuel 3-5:4 & 1 Chronicles 11:1-3.

This is what he said to them in 2 Samuel.

After reading the book of the covenant, Josiah renewed his promises with God as we read in 2 Kings 23 and verse 3. And the king stood by the pillar and made a covenant before the Lord to walk after the Lord and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all his heart and all his soul to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book.
