A couple years ago, I came across this book. It's called A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23.
It's by a man named Philip Keller, who was an actual shepherd.
In this book, he takes you through verse by verse, explaining the psalm from a shepherd's perspective.
He anoints my head with oil, and he talks about noseflies.
Their attacks, the flies on animals, can readily turn the golden months of summertime into a time of torture for the sheep and drive them to almost distraction.
