And The Bell and the Blackbird is an old meme in the Irish tradition. It's the image of a monk standing on the edge of the monastic precinct in the old Celtic Christian days, and hearing the sound of a bell calling him to prayer.
And at the same time, he hears the blackbird calling from outside of the monastic precinct, and he says to himself, that's also the most beautiful sound in the world.
