Going back to Hollywood for a moment, there was never a blacklist exactly as you say. But as close as it came was a book called Red Channels, a report of communist influence on radio and television produced by something called the American Business Consultants.
You know, that there wasn't enough to have the attorney general's list of subversive organizations. They wanted, you know, the next step, which was tell me who in this case in Hollywood is suspect. So the book had was, you know, it's like it's just a directory.
