The title of the book is Firestorm, The Great Los Angeles Fires and America's New Age of Disaster. It is a book about people, an exploration of what it's like to live amongst some of the worst natural disasters this planet has ever seen, and a story of hope.

The book is called Firestorm, the Great L.A. Fires. And as we said, America's New Age of Disaster, which that last part seems foreboding and also accurate, because what are you tackling here beyond the idea that your childhood home was burned down and then you decide to immerse yourself for however long in the painstaking and painful process of book writing?

When I pick up this book and I read it, there's almost like an allegory in the book about how, I think on the third morning of the fires, I was back in the Palisades and I heard a very, very familiar screech of a parakeet. The book is a love letter to Los Angeles as much as it is anything else.

What this book is is a realworld example of what it's like to witness the destructive nature of climate change being exacerbated by misinformation and disinformation in what I call America's new age of disaster because it's here.

The name of the book again, Firestorm, the Great Los Angeles Fires in America's New Age of Disaster. Forgive me for reading that instead of memorizing it. No, please. Just the new age of disaster thing was so ominous and scary that I - I wouldn't want to memorize it either. Just stick with Firestorm.
