The salt eaters are novel by Tony Cade Bambara hopefully I'm pronouncing that correctly centers around two women named Velma Henry and Minnie Ransom Velma's a long time activist but has recently succumbed to the years of stress accumulated between her activism marriage and job and has been hospitalized for attempting to take her own life. Minnie is probably the most gifted healer in the community and is called to the hospital to heal Velma however Velma seems to be resisting she wants no part of it.
I choose to get others well and free this has been the only choice for me in this life with the help of the saints both old and new I keep moving on yeah.
