How Fascism Works The Politics of Us and Them

Jason Stanley, who's a professor of philosophy at Yale, written a brilliant book on fascism, good friend of mine.

It's also a real good example of one of the things Umberto Eco talked about in her fascism, his essay trying to kind of explain what fascism is, syncretism, right?

He is the author of several books, including ... How Fascism Works, which seems incredibly relevant, considering I think we're living in the epicenter of it.

He talks about stripping away knowledge from people, attacking the schools, changing the curriculum, how people get their information. Because if you can control how people get their information, if you can affect that, it's very easy to usher in all kinds of things.

Well, and you look at Vaughn Hilliard's interview, Willie, with people who were in a rally last week. And, you know, I've been wondering what do they think when he says he's going to be a dictator from day one? What do they think when he says that he can execute with SEAL Team 6, he can order SEAL Team 6 to execute his political opponents and not face any criminal repercussions? What do they think when he says he's going to terminate the Constitution? What do they think when he says he's going to execute insufficiently loyal generals who aren't lackeys to him all the time? What do they think when he says all of these things that Vladimir Putin doesn't even say publicly?

Well, you listen to some of Vaughn's interviews. They think it's great and say that if Trump doesn't win this time, they think they should have a civil war and go state legislator by state legislator.
