I wanted to know why my body was feeling it. What was going on in my cells? What was going on in my heart tissue?
I think you can also feel it now in a time of catastrophic environmental change, watching these geographies of our childhood or our communities fall under fire, these big storms. We can feel heartbreak individually and we can also feel heartbreak collectively.
The bad news is heartbreak cannot be and should not be avoided. The good news is there is such a thing as post traumatic growth.
