Josh does a good job in his book, and in the articles he's written, recounting some of the recent evidence that there was an outbreak of infection in the lab right around the proximity when we think that this virus first made its jump into humans, that the Chinese government had coronaviruses, novel coronaviruses in that facility that they were experimenting with that have never been disclosed, that they were infecting transgenic animals with fully human immune systems, which makes it more likely that the virus could have become human adapted.
