I've been reading like Hampton Sides into the Kingdom of Ice is such a good book about this polar expedition.

I just finished a book called In the Kingdom of Ice, which was written by I believe the author Hampton Sides written a few years ago. And it's a tremendous book and it tells an incredible story about the USS Jeanette expedition back in like the late 1870s, early 1880s.

They were trying to find a polar sea, got locked in the ice for two years, endured two Arctic winters, then when the ice melted they attempted to escape, only to have the ship sink. The survivors had to trek a thousand miles across the frozen ocean to Siberia, many dying along the way before finally reaching safety.

When I read books like this, it just reminds me how much superhero franchises and wokeism together have totally ruined Hollywood because you've got these real life stories that would make incredible films, but there's no one to make them in Hollywood. There should be 20 great films about Arctic exploration alone.

Talks about that journey where that, that ship got encased in ice, very near Wrangel Island where these guys get marooned and it goes for like, I don't know, over a year
