How dare you purport that your show is about this rich relationship between these two strong women when all you do is pit them against one another over a man for two-thirds of your script.

And that's not how it went down in the novel, you didn't have to do it that way, but you did it that way because it was easier and that's what keeps preteens and their parents spending money at your goddamn show.
