The Vanishing Half A GMA Book Club Pick (A Novel)

So I just finished The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett, which is a truly amazing book.

The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett. I finished and I'd fucking highly recommend it.

But I didn't realize it was really like mother sister relationships.

It's so good. It's like, you know, the generational stories of each person in that family and what happened to them and how they got there. But essentially, it's the story revolves around twin sisters and one of them vanishes.

And the search for her, but the twin who stayed, like her daughter and her husband and what happens to her life and the daughter goes to L.A. and becomes a track star. But it's heartfelt and beautiful and really well written. And it's just great.

This is Brit Bennett's The Vanishing Half which is about two sisters who grow up in a black community where everyone can basically pass for white and eventually one of the sisters does pass for white and it's about how this plays out over a successive generation.
