Sarah Jane's appearance on the Moth stage was a long time coming. Potential storytellers sometimes go through quite a process trying to figure out what story they want to tell. Sarah Jane is actually on our staff at the Moth, and she worked with us for years before finally telling her story.
Yeah. Oh man, that was so, that was so wonderful. I felt like she was, I think, I think that she was really proud and it was cool. And I think that her aunt and uncle were also there and their response afterwards was like, oh wow, that was so beautiful to get to see your love story.
The process of Devil in a Box, you know, there's many minutes go by and the process of memory in my script, if you will. Like the audience has a long time to get to know me and my humor and feel safe before I tell them about the violence and the assault.
