And then I'm here where I don't see very many people with any.

But the problem is that they became utopian and they came up with these crazy ideas about education, about energy, about race.

And it was all predicated that the real life consequences, whether it was critical legal's just a relief to get away from them because they're very judgmental and yet they're very proud of their generation and they're very critical of the dead.

And when you look at what they've accomplished, and I don't see San Francisco better than it was 30 years ago or 50 years ago, and I don't see the university's Harvard Yale Stanford as pillars of intellectual among these elites, 74% say their finances are getting better compared with 20% of the rest of voters.

The share is 88% among elites who are Ivy League graduates. Their finances are getting better. Yeah, it's awesome. Life under Biden. We love Biden, Alex, the elite gave President Biden an 84% approval rating compared with 40% of elites believe the U.S. provides too much individual freedom.

I think most people realize there was not Russian collusion, but there in fact had been collusion with Hillary Clinton's sources to destroy the Trump campaign in 2016.

They were committing lawfare all the time and they never had cases.

They're using the law to pollute and warp politics and go after someone that has, that they otherwise should have gone after politically or they can have the people decide through elections.

It's almost like we're going to destroy democracy to save democracy from Donald Trump.

Have you guys seen Annihilation yet?

I think the movie varies pretty wildly from the book, but there is a theme in that film at risk of any spoilers.

Well, just really briefly... about a consciousness that sort of - like travels to earth on a meteor and it's like this bacteria kind of thing, like we were talking about earlier. But it creates this zone where DNA is transmittable like light waves.

And if you're in this zone, your DNA is affected. You're constantly mutating and everything is mutating because it's like scrambling DNA.

But once I looked at these examples of Thebes and Carthage, as you said, the Aztecs at Tenochtitlan and of course Constantinople, there were certain themes, Bill, that once powerful states or nations were in decline and yet in denial, they felt that they were as robust as ever, that the enemy wouldn't dare attack them, that there would be allies on the horizon to save them, that even if they were attacked, the nature of their enemies were not existential. They didn't want to destroy them. Who would want to do that?

But more importantly, there are once powerful nations that don't reinvest in what once made them powerful, and yet they're in complete denial about their vulnerability.

I think the United States fits that pretty well.

And I have a book coming out in September called Confronting the Presidents where we evaluate every president, all 45, and whether they help or hurt the country.
