The host praised the memoir as a powerful and empowering account that pieced together the family dynamics and offered key takeaways from Sherry Franke's perspective.
The book is called The House of My Mother, A Daughter's Quest for Freedom.
So a lot of people are asking for my take on her book because in this book, she puts a lot of the puzzle pieces together about the dynamic between Ruby and Jodi.
If you haven't picked up a copy or downloaded the audiobook, definitely do so.
I highly encourage you guys purchase the book, read it for yourself.
and go check out her book.
Episode: 353: Jodi Hildebrandt | What Netflix's 'Evil Influ...
The speaker discussed Sherry Frankie's tell-all memoir which detailed her life experiences with Ruby Franke and Jodi Hildebrandt, including alleged eyewitness accounts of Jodi and Ruby's intimate relationship. The speaker highly recommended supporting and reading the book for a direct lens into growing up in that environment.
We even went through Sherry Frankie, Ruby's daughter's book, her tell-all and her memoir, and talked about a lot of that, which she came out with that book at the beginning of 2025, where she really, in my opinion, in a beautiful way, details all of her life experiences with Ruby, with Jodi and growing up in that environment.
But what they didn't mention was that Ruby's daughter, Sherry, all but confirmed in her book, The House of My Mother, A Daughter's Quest for Freedom, that Ruby and Jodi did, in fact, have an intimate relationship.
So in her book, Sherry says, and I quote, the room was bathed in the soft glow of candles. The air was heavy with the scent of lavender and vanilla wafting from the massage oils on the dresser. I quickly grabbed what I needed and got the hell out of there, feeling like I had just walked into someone else's honeymoon suite. The only thing missing was the rose petals on the bed.
Sherry wrote in her book about a time when she came home from college and she walked in on what appeared to be a very intimate setting between the two of them, which I could easily describe it in my own words, but honestly, I want to just pull the exact quote from Sherry's book because it is extremely telling.
I definitely recommend either checking out her book or you could even watch the video episode that I did on my YouTube channel last year where I covered the book in its entirety. It is a very well done book.
