I made two recipes from Ina Garten's modern comfort food cookbook, Barefoot Contessa. First, I made penne arrabbiata.
I subsequently found out that I don't like arrabbiata sauce. In the book, it just looks like a delicious red sauce but it's extremely spicy and I didn't like it.
Then I made her broccoli and kale Caesar salad where I made my own Caesar dressing and croutons. In the book, the Caesar dressing calls for too many anchovies.
