The story that I tell in Our Man in Mexico is Lee Harvey Oswald, the man who will be accused of killing the president and who will deny it and then be killed in police custody, goes to Mexico City six weeks before the assassination and visits the Cuban consulate and the Soviet embassy seeking to get a visa to travel to Cuba.
What the CIA told the Warren Commission was we didn't know anything about this guy. We knew so little about him, we didn't even get a picture of him, a surveillance picture of him.
As I report in Our Man in Mexico, the station chief in Mexico City, Winn Scott, said specifically that was not true.
