One of the greatest novels I've ever read is called The Theory of War and it's not actually about war it's this weird fucked up dark novel that you would love about a white slave in America like basically a poor white kid that gets sold anyways she has this great line in the book the author's Joan Brady I think she's saying you know Gwen Klauswood said that that war is the extension of politics by other means and she said but the converse is also true that politics is the extension of war by other means and that's that's shaped my understanding of history going forward
