but I write, I argue this in the book, we're also really terrible at feeling the consequences of long-term schemes
so I say like that's not necessarily true with what we know from animal cognition they do have a bit of future planning but for the most part yes that is the literal like we can think about our own deaths and plan for it and like does that make us happier I don't know
