It is a non-fiction book that focuses on David Pinder, the first Bahamian bone fishing guide, and the development of the bone fishing industry in the Bahamas. The author discussed how a small, previously unimportant fish became the cornerstone of a multi-million dollar ecotourism industry.
Okay, well my last book is called Body of Water.
It's a nonfiction book from Milkweed Editions about, really that centers around a man named David Pinder who was the first Bahamian bone fishing guide.
So $150 million a year basically this little fish that we used to throw into Purina food bags has become the crux of an island, the entire island's economy really.
But it's a cool book.
So we should maybe sometime dedicate a whole conversation about the book because it tells a story about a fish that no one cares about becoming a fish that's like a billion dollar industry.
