We made shirts that I am a gorilla in reference to the book Ishmael which is narrated by a gorilla and a bunch of leftists started claiming that our shirts were racist and we were like I think you're being racist when you say that.

They're the party of we have degrowth. They want people to go back to living in the in the in the streams, in the rivers, in the caves. They want you to live in the pod and eat the bugs. Elon Musk is a reason why he's talking to Donald Trump. Donald Trump wants to unleash energy, wants human expansion. Human expansion is fantastic so long as it's technologically moving forward.

And so we made the meme like we haven't really it's been a long time, but we had the shirts. And it's the gorilla going, I am a gorilla and then people were calling us racist for having a shirt that says I am a gorilla and I was like, I was like my dude. It is an Ishmael reference. We are making a reference to global policy not race. If you think that's racist, what are you thinking about people? Take it up with Daniel Quinn, but yo, yo, I don't know if y'all remember this some of the prints that were sold. Yo, I think this is intentional. Some of the prints that were made of it had the gorilla wearing white gloves with a blackened face.

It's about being tough or whatever. There's the gorilla emojis and there were some people receiving shirts where I'm like, how do you accidentally make the hands look like white gloves?

I read it in like 2007 and I was buying into all of it. Now the way Alex is like, the books telling you like the girls like humans are bad. I'm a bad. I'm a gorilla kill myself. Like he's like, it's about like you're so bad being a human like what you've done to the earth. You're a taker. There are takers and there are levers and we've out the takers have outbalanced the levers and we need more levers on Earth.

I get that concept, you know, but it's it's interesting to think about it that I was manipulated by by this book.
