At Toulouse, I started to learn the rhythm of retail, how a woman tries on a shoe, what she's telling you she wants when she twists this way and that in the mirror. It was sort of like dancing or kissing, an intuitive give and take.
it's not nearly as dramatic a rock bottom as other addicts, but this was the final straw.
